Abell is fantastic. Living in a strata, we have had quite a few hit & misses, so I’ve opted to get my own pest control company when it’s issues within my condo & Abell is definitely a hit. The staff are kind & professional, they come immediately when you’re having an issue & they do the job right the first time. They are also kind enough to answer any questions you may have to avoid them coming out & give you good tips on what you should be prepared for depending on the season. They do free estimates (if I'm not mistaken that'd be an ongoing thing...) they can do a one-time thing, or do monthly checks, it all depends on what you're looking for or needing! Very fair price seeing as it’s done the right the first time – highly recommend!

I’ve called out Tops to fix an issue with some neon lighting once & they were fabulous! The men who came were friendly, professional & knew what they were doing. They also guaranteed their product for 30 days – call to confirm that timeline, but I believe that was it. The amount posted is the hourly rate & that price depends on the location of where your lighting needs replacing as it’ll depend on the vehicle they bring out. I do remember their neon replacement cost was significantly less than other companies as they get it directly, ultimately saving you money.

A-Line is a family run business & they do a fantastic job! I’ve dealt with them a few times & have been pleased with every service. They guarantee their work & are willing to come out promptly, especially in urgent matters. Their prices are fair, as I’d called around to many places. When having your locks fixed/changed you want to ensure it’s someone you trust, A-Line is just that company! Side Note: Call for details on if keys are included, etc. They also run specials at times.

If you want your windows to be sparkling clean without any streaks, Peter is your guy! He is fully capable of washing high & difficult areas with ease. Peter is professional, reliable & very personable. Prior to moving into a small condo, we owned a 3 bedroom & basement suite townhouse, there were many windows in high & difficult places, but Peter was able to clean all of them without any issues; this included cleaning the window screens. As soon as we moved into our new condo, I called Peter right away & had him clean the windows in our new place, he’s the only person who I trust to do the job 100% right the first time. Highly recommend! Side Note: $40 is the minimum, the price will change depending on how many windows you have, etc.

When living in my previous home, I upgraded my kitchen & chose Lonsdale Flooring to be the installer of the new flooring, they did a fabulous job! I’d hired them many years prior & was so pleased with their service that I wanted them again & I couldn’t be happier. When visiting their showroom on Main Street in North Vancouver, they welcome you with a smile & have endless samples for you to see. Their quotes/estimates are exact & there’s a minimal wait time for installation. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly & honest – they also work well within your budget, while ensuring you’re getting a good quality floor. Upon moving into my new condo, I had them replace the kitchen & washroom linoleum, the men who came were friendly, responsible & hard working. Again, I was extremely satisfied with their work. Highly recommend!

I have hired Rob many times over the years & I never hesitate to call him when I need help from someone who I can trust to do the job right. Rob is professional, punctual, confident, reliable & very hard working. He has excellent knowledge of all that he does & can see potential when others may not; I’ve found this to be a vital asset in a good carpenter. After selling my house a couple of years ago & downsizing to a small condo, there were innumerable tasks that seemed tedious & impossible, I thought I’d never settle into my new place, but Rob found ways to make use of the spaces & items that I already had – this ultimately saved me a lot of money. Rob is very knowledgeable & offers fantastic suggestions on how to utilize your space & make it look great! *Note: Posted price is the hourly rate & there is also a 10% on material & sub trades. I can say without a doubt that Rob is very affordable, especially since the job is done right the first time.

I’ve required the help of Combined Appliances a few times & have been 100% satisfied with each visit. They are punctual, reliable, professional & offer a fair price for the great work that they do. My furnace was having issues a few years back just before a cold winter storm, I called Combined Appliances & they sent someone out right away. I was grateful for the help, as the worker was able to fix my problem immediately & I didn’t have to live in a cold house during the storm. Another time, a new fridge I had purchased arrived, but within a couple of days I noticed it wasn’t staying cold, Combined Appliances came & the worker was able to pinpoint the issue & resolve it in no time. They are honest & will tell you what work you should have done, or whether it’s coming close to needing to replace the appliance & whether or not you should hold off on major repairs.

I have gone to A Shade Better near Capilano Mall many times over the years when replacing or installing blinds in my home; they’re my one & only go-to place for blinds, curtains, etc. The people who work there have always been kind, friendly & welcoming upon entering their showroom. I have found A Shade Better to be extremely accommodating, they can either show you samples in their office, or they also do in-home estimates & bring samples so you can truly envision the product you are about to purchase. They are able to stay within budget & appreciate the value of a dollar while ensuring you’re getting what you want for a great price. The products they carry are of great quality & I trust that I’ll only receive the best when buying from them. I also find it convenient that items needing repair, or upkeep, such as cleaning can be taken in store to be fixed & or cleaned in a timely manner & again with exact price & time estimates.

When looking to sell our home a couple of years ago, I asked Gayle for some tips & ideas on how to sell my house quickly & get the price I was asking. Upon hearing Gayle’s brilliant ideas, I knew that I needed to hire her! Our house sold within 1 & ½ weeks, which was unheard of at that time due to the real estate market, I know that by having Gayle stage our home we received the price we wanted & sold in record time. Once we had bought our new condo, I knew exactly who to call to help me decorate – Gayle! She had amazing decorating ideas & suggestions for how to best utilize the space in our new, smaller home. Gayle is a very organized & professional person with a truly amazing talent, she is caring, generous & listens to what you like & what you expect from her help – I couldn’t be happier with the results. I had a rather extensive pest issue in my residence & didn’t know who I should call. After speaking to some friends, I heard good things about Apex Pest Control & I gave them a call. I gave Adrian a description of what pest issues & concerns I was having, and he came the same day & resolved my issue. I have had no further issues since Apex came. He was very professional, reliable, honest, hard working & did a great job - recommend!
