A Shade Better

We have just had blinds fitted for our whole house and are very pleased. The service from Angela was great, very knowledgeable and patient. Kashmir,the installer, was terrific too. We had one very small thing that needed changed and it was done immediately and was no problem.

Angela and Kashmir are professionals to the core. Angela visited my home repeatedly and gave reassuring opinions not only on the suitability but also aesthetics of my choices. Kashmir is undoubtedly a perfectionist installer. With Angela, this is one great team that you would want to work on your home projects.

We have had Silhoutte Hunter Douglas window coverings in our home for 10 years which we love. Sadly the other day the cleaning lady left a note that one was broken. My husband called around our area to see about getting it repaired without much luck. As we were going to Vancouver we decided to take it with us. My cousin directly us to try "A Shade Better"! We are so pleased we did, they looked around their repair room and found a piece that would fit our Silhoutte exactly. We were thrilled that we didn't have to send it and our other blinds all back east to have just one tiny piece fixed. We were told we couldn't send just one as then they won't look the same. It was Friday when we were in the store and they had it arranged to be repaired that same day for us as we were leaving the next day. Dave and Heather were very friendly and kind, they understood our situation and realized how we needed to have the Silhoutte functioning as soon as possible due to the heat of the summer. Special thanks to you both for helping us to get the right piece and having this repair done immediately! We would highly recommend "A Shade Better". Your names says it all!

We have an older home with challenging measurements to work with. A Shade Better was able to create a beautiful product, from choosing materials to installation. I have had nothing but the best experience.

We have spent a lot of money at this store over the past few years, arrogant owner/manager and poor sales personnel who did not give us all the options for blinds then blamed us for not knowing the different options available to us, don't go here for blinds...

Angela gave us fantastic service. She was professional and suggested a set of rods and drapes that has made our home look complete. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these folks or use them again in the future.

I am so pleased we went here for our curtains. Angela Hirst is very experienced in what she does and helped us pick out just the right curtains for our lounge and dining room. Kashmir also did a fantastic job with the installation of the curtain rods etc.

Angela Hirst the decorator and Kashmir are excellent. They know their job well and are such perfectionist and work to milimiter and have great taste, but then again why wouldn't she, she is British.

Had a problem with one Roman shade in our bedroom installed in 2011. Went to David at Shade Better and he discussed the problem with the Hunter Douglas Rep. Hunter Douglas replaced not only the small panel but the other two panels. We have used Shade Better's expertise for other areas of the house and have been very pleased with their service & should add that Hunter Douglas products certainly upgraded the look of the rooms. Very pleased with the end result.
