We needed a cube-fridge ASAP while our regular fridge was being repaired. Tri-City Appliance was great, even through one snag. I picked up the fridge, drove it home, plugged it in, and discovered it was dead. I drove it back, and he swapped it for a new one. He offered that for my extra trouble, they would come down and pick up the fridge for free when we were done with it. A week later, I scheduled a return and they came by that evening. Easy; inexpensive; and it kept our food from melting during the repair.

We have rented glassware from ABC Party Rental at least twice. Both times the glasses were available when requested, were spotless when we picked them up, and they had simple return policies. They even helped me carry them out to the car.

Carol has been cleaning for us biweekly for many years. She is dependable, uses non-toxic products, and the house gets clean. Her prices are also fair; we are happy to pay her a living wage.

We paid for a year of snow-shoveling; they did an OK job, though a few times we had to leave for work before they could shovel. In that case, if we shoveled and didn't call them before they left their site, they warned us we would have to pay for the shoveling anyway. There was about $100 credit left-over after the season, and they offered to do a round of yardwork to use it up. We weren't impressed with the results of the yard-work, given the price.

Oxford Mills has been my go-to choice for inexpensive bedding, pillows, towels, etc. I have dealt with returning a few items, which they were responsive about; although you need to pay attention to whether something is a "final sale" before trying to return or exchange it.

We visited the store, gave the measurements of the (odd-sized) bed, tried all of the sample cushions, she made a few recommendations, and we came back a few weeks later to pick up the foam. Easy, high-quality, and still in use a few years later!

We had a problem with skunks taking up residence under our heated sunporch. They came and dug around the entire border, put down fine-mesh wire, set up a one-way door to get the skunks out, and returned in the promised time-frame to remove the door, make sure the skunks were gone, and seal up the hole. Problem solved! The only reason this was 9 stars instead of 10 is we didn't have much leeway for what the wire mesh looked like; it wasn't very attractive, and could have gone behind the wood screen instead of in front. But it was functional, and that's what mattered! (Whew!) Edit to add: thanks for the offer to come check the work again- we're happy enough with it, won't be necessary. And as you said, it probably was a constraint of the job. Thanks again for the good work.

The Strippers did a wonderful job on my family's bookcase, which had sustained wear-and-tear and water damage on the top. They were able to finish the work quickly, gave me recommendations for how to keep the finish, and the price was fair.
