We were finishing our basement last year and I'm just now getting all of my reviews on Home Stars. After a lot of searching, we went in to this store looking for a sectional and found one we liked on the showroom floor. We wanted to see if we could get a discount for the floor model since it was exactly what we were looking for. They did try to push us onto one we didn't like but was shaped the same and would be in our price range. I didn't like the material but the other one was too much money so we asked what could be done on the price of the first one we liked. Our sales associate, Lamya, went back to the boss over and over again until we got it to a price we could afford. They immediately wrapped up the floor model to protect it and stored it for us until we could take delivery. Our basement wasn't going to be finished for about 2 months and they had no problem holding onto it for us at no cost. Lamya responded quickly to all of my email questions (about shipping/delivery) at all hours of the day. When delivery came, it was last winter and very wet outside. The guys were kind enough to bring in all the pieces first and then dry off their boots/put on protective booties and then bring all the pieces of the sectional to the basement. They set it up nicely and even fluffed the pillows out! They were extremely polite. Overall, I'm shocked by the other reviews as we had a great experience and would go there again. We've had our sectional for almost a year and it still looks brand new.

We used Home Design Carpet and Rugs twice now (once at our previous home and now our current home). We dealt with Stephen at the showroom. Stephen, you're a bit of a chatterbox but you have great info and great pricing! We loved the selections and have really expensive carpet for an excellent price. The installers on both occasions were professional and very clean. They did a great job and it was the main reason we went back a second time knowing our home wouldn't be damaged. Given it's the basement with tight stairs, they didn't ruin anything while bringing materials down. Overall, I would definitely recommend this company. Just keep in mind that dealing with the showroom can be difficult and people can easily be turned off by some of the employees, but you only need to deal with them for the pricing. The quality of product and installation is worth it!

We recently hired Home Decor Window & Door Centre to replace all the exterior doors in our home. Funny story, of the 10+ companies were called/visited, Tony was the only 1 of 2 that kept his appointment, and the only one to provide us with a quote. That being said, he was also the only company that provided the front door we were looking for. Other companies said it wouldn't be possible to create the door we had in mind. Our front door is amazing! I wish I had a working camera to post pics. It's 8 feet high, 42 inches wide, and looks amazing! We also purchased a new sliding door, side door (fibreglass), and patio doors (fibreglass). The guys that came to install were polite, worked in minus 22 degree weather without complaint, seemingly didn't stop to eat lunch, and worked until late to get everything done on time. It took a few days to complete the job and they took their time to make sure everything was put in correctly. We had a few hiccups along the way but all issues were fixed without us having to complain. All of our concerns were heard and relayed to their boss and taken care of. Overall, great service for a great price! I would highly recommend Home Decor to my friends and family.

We hired Amazing Window Fashions to do all of the windows in our home about a year and a half ago. Alex and Alan were amazing. We got a great price and lots of advice. We had a few "tricky" spots we weren't sure how to deal with. For example, my daughter's room had one of those half-circle windows and I knew I wanted shutters but I hated the fan look that I've seen before. Alex was able to show us shutters that fit that window in a horizontal fashion that would mimick the shutters below it. I loved it! Another example was our kitchen sliding door. I wanted something clean-lined and didn't take up space in our kitchen. I had no idea the Maxxmar vertical shades existed. They're amazing! Up and out of the way when you're using the sliding door or just want a clear view of the backyard when the kids are playing outside. But you also have privacy when they're down and the option of some light coming through or complete privacy. The material is so nice and they're pretty inexpensive for such a great solution! We also purchase Hunter Douglas pirouettes for our main floor. The material is luxurious and they look great. We also have the Hunter Douglas top down/bottom up honeycomb blind in our bedroom for total darkness and a rich look that makes it feel like a beautiful curtain without the hassle, dust build-up, and fuss. Overall, Alex and Alan gave us amazing service, a great price, wonderful products and making appointments was quick and easy. I would highly recommend them! Update: we had all of our doors replaced last week and Alex came back to uninstall/reinstall all of the applicable shutters and blinds in our necessary timelines for a small fee. Everything looks great!

Excellent service, great info on how to prevent future problems plus get rid of existing problems. Pestend technician came within 1/2 hour on Sunday morning! so happy to get rid of snake and possible mice. I would recommend Pestend to everyone !
