This is my first year hiring Andy’s, and I am very pleased with the plowing service I have received so far! My drive has been cleared in a timely fashion and they have consistently returned after the City graders to clear the end. I am usually one of the first drives on our street cleared and very happy that my neighbours also signed up with Andy’s this year, and not that other company ;)

We hired Metro Snow and Ice this past winter, as did several of my neighbours. Cleaning was consistently late, compared with other snow removal companies on our street. Customer care was awful and often met with agressive replies and comments. We had been with this company since it was Appleseed, with great experiences. In my opinion, lots of emphasis on their bells and whistles, and notifications (consistently inaccurate) but little time for actual job completion or customer care. Six neighbours, and myself, have decided not to hire this company this year, due to the terrible service we received last year.

We hired Metro Snow and Ice Managment on a recommendation from a neighbour. We’ve had two snowstorms and we’ve experienced problems with both. This early in the season, this is worrisome for ourselves and now for our neighbours also. My first issue was replied to three days after the email. I was kindly reassured that there were some technical glitches with the alert system, and that everything was rectified. On December 19th we had a second significant snowfall and my lane was cleared early afternoon. Right after that, the city plow went by and dumped approx 2’ at the end of our driveway. I wasn’t concerned at all since that day I had received an email update: “We will be clearing all day and night to clear plow dumps”. That dump has since frozen and I cannot drive over it. That was two days ago. I have recently broken my foot and my neighbour felt very badly, so she drove the office. She went in because my email has not been returned - had an appointment this morning and had to be carried out to the street! My neighbour was assured yesterday that the dump would be cleared. Today it is a frozen wall and my caregiver can not access my laneway. So, there isn’t anyone to contact other than emailing, which isn’t replied to in a timely fashion (48 hours +). You cannot call as “the mailbox is full”. I have read some of the owner’s emails and messages to clients and it is obvious that there is a problem with this company. I sincerely hope there is a willlingness to rectify this situation, rather than immediately offer a refund. (Mullcraft Cres, Nepean Ontario)

in the last week Cliff helped me with selecting an appropriate, - and within budget - front door. I told him my exact budget and along the way he made various suggestions and offered his opinion on my choices. My door was ordered and came in earlier than I expected, slightly under budget. Appointment for install was arranged at my convenience. Tom and Andrew came to install the door and were precise in their arrival and departure estimate. Both very professional and nice - really awesome clean up job! My door surpasses my expectations! I'll be working with Manotick Windows and Doors again, for all of my home windows. Highly recommended.

Expert Cabinet Refacing was recommended to me by a neighbor and although I had a very small job, Calvin devoted his time to help me select a cabinet refacing within a tight budget. It was just the small lift my kitchen needed and was installed right on time. We will def. return for our future kitchen upgrades.

Prompt courteous service; reasonable price to repair kitchen faucet and laundry room taps. Received a discount for combined services. Very clean and replaced some parts needed to stop all drips.

Following a neighbour's recommendation of Bayview Windows, I decided to purchase a patio door with interior blinds. The timing of both of our purchases was within several weeks, and while I waited for the window delivery, my neighbours experienced extensive problems with the installation of their North Star windows by Bayview Windows. While they were waiting for repairs to be corrected from their first installation, my window arrived and was installed - with broken blinds and incorrect finishing on the molding. I had the same installers who created the problems my neighbours experienced. So, instead of a quick and correctly installed patio window, I had to call several times in order to get my blinds replaced on a brand new window... while my neighbours also had the exact same issues with the installers. Thankfully we only had to experience one of these faulty installers and moved our business to another North Star dealer for the remaining windows. Bayview windows did eventually correct my patio door and my neighbours dented window frame, but we no longer trusted the original installers. Sorry Bayview Windows - seven additional North Star windows installed by another company!
