The communication with Tony was very easy. We had to reschedule once because the guy coming out ended up in the hospital. So that was nobody’s fault and hopefully the guy is okay. We were given a couple days notice which was nice and we had no trouble rebooking again very fast. Tony sent Joe to our house and he took three samples from the popcorn ceiling in each room. Our home was built in 1956 so we needed the popcorn ceiling checked before we install potlights for example. It adds up fast, but this company was the most reasonable after I researched a bunch. We should have the results within a week.

We hired Terry to switch out our lighted ceiling fan in the kitchen and to connect our bathroom exhaust fan so it could vent out through the roof rather than the attic. We are so pleased. Terry went above and beyond! We appreciated that he went up into the attic and on the roof several times (in snow and ice) to satisfy himself and ensure everything was working properly and that snow and ice wasn't clogging anything, etc. Fairly priced. Responsive and easy to communicate with. We will definitely recommend Terry and would hire him for future projects!

We had Hayes Plumbing come up to take a look at our basement shower which had been dripping for longer than we should have let it. Two nice guys showed up as scheduled, on time, and were able to replace the part (behind the control lever) on the spot. It’s great to know it’s warrantied if there’s any problem. My parents have been using Hayes for years and I can see why they’ve been in business so long! Would recommend!

I posted a service request late at night/wee hours of the morning, and within minutes I had received a response from Tony. He quoted us $55 for the site visit to confirm what exactly needed to be done as I wasn't sure if it was just the dryer belt. My only suggestion is that the $55 site visit be paid as a deposit (if we hired him for the job) which is what other companies were offering, rather than charge it as an extra fee in addition to labour and the new part. We paid cash for the job. Tony repaired our dryer on the spot quickly, and conveniently. Tony was easy to communicate with and he came when he said he would. I would hire Tony again and recommend him.

Our furnace with humidifier was leaking pretty badly and we wanted to get someone up to give us a diagnosis. The company we have used in the past had come out first, but was not able to determine the cause and charged us $40 for the house call. We called Natural Choice next because they are still listed on the (going bankrupt) Sears website for furnace service and we knew the previous owners had the furnace purchased and installed with Sears. We got an immediate call to book an appointment and we were told it would be $100 for the housecall regardless of the time spent in diagnosing the problem. We found the price a bit steep to be honest, but we went ahead and made the appointment. Service was friendly, prompt and on time. We were given a couple of easy solutions to try which hopefully help and we were told if it doesn't work to reach out again, that it could then be a manufacturers issue. Very pleased with the service received, and would call them again.

Peaks Roofing completed the roofing on our house and detached garage today and we could not be happier! After obtaining three different quotes, we decided to go with the middle one, which was Peaks. They have been in the business for many years. This friendly and efficient crew finished our job in three consecutive days which included two chimneys to be removed and covered, a leaky skylight to be removed and covered, and a flap inserted where our bathroom fan will vent out of soon. Each day they left our property very clean and safe. No scraps or nails laying around. This was not our neighbours experience last year with a different roofing company. When the job was completed they even positioned all of our deck furniture back up from the lawn! The roofing looks beautiful and I really felt like they went above and beyond. What a refreshingly pleasant experience you dont always get with contractors. Thank you Peaks!

We had a leak in our roof due to overly patched chimney flashing. It was a small job, but Wilson Roofing came out and gave us a great quote and got the job done fast and right. It looks great. We've had a lot of rain the last little bit and have had no more issues. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

I had already purchased the home, but wanted a home inspection done after closing for my own peace of mind- no pun intended! I contacted Don on the recommendation of a friend. I was not disappointed. He was honest, thorough, took his time, answered my questions, and walked me through the photos he took which he gave me on a disc. When a leak sprung under my sink, he even offered to fix it for me on the spot! I will definitely recommend Don to my friends and family and would not hesitate to call on him again.
