Arrived on time and I like that they were efficient, quick and tidy. And very affordable. I had 2 properties with 2 furnaces for servicing. And I was very much pleasantly surprised to be told I was eligible for the multiple discount @ $100 per appliance. I was also happy that they called the day before to confirm that they were coming. Very professional. Will recommend and use them again!

Originally bought paint from them to do a couple of accent walls, but didn't have enough left to finish one of them. We just needed only a little bit more so went back to HD and ordered the same paint name. When we go back and started repainting the wall, we discovered to our horror that the paint was completely off by at least 5 shades and instead of refunding us and honoring their customer service guarantee policy, they blamed it on the manufacturer of their paint. Very unhappy with this unservice of theirs.

We are in the midst of finishing our basement and needed to paint the walls. This is expensive paint if you don't have a contractor's discount, but it's thick and goes on well.

Bought 6 interior doors from HD. 2 of them were a pair of French Doors. After ordering and paying for them, went home and next day was looking over through my order, discovered to my unpleasant surprise that the measurements for those French doors were entered incorrectly and as well as my phone number on the order. I placed 4 calls to HD trying to get those changed. Took about a day and a half before someone called me back. And he said he'd been trying to call me on the wrong phone number and I said, but I've been leaving messages with the RIGHT phone number and PO#. Anyway, once that was sorted out, the guy who phoned me back did provide good customer service in fixing my order. I just wished it wasn't so inconvenient and that the order wasn't wrongly put in in the first place.

Scott from Palmer Electrical was super professional. He did his install of all the potlights, CAD5, RG6, put in a home surge protector, speakers etc. His prices were very reasonable, more so that 3 other electrical companies that quoted me and he did everything in a very timely fashion. He was respectful also of our home and cats. And he always took time to answer any questions we had of him. Definitely recommend him!

We're in the midst of finishing our basement and were looking for painters. Justin from BRS had the best quote. His company specializes in Small Job Renos. He and his helper did a great job on our walls and was respectful of my property and hardwood floors. He also cleaned up after himself everyday. He gave good paint advice and suggestions on how to get our stairs done. When it's come time to do the stairs, baseboards, trim and doors and windows install, he'll be the first I ask.

We have an unfinished basement - Main open area, 1 Bathroom, 1 BR, 1 Den and the Stairway. CLB drywall did the drywall install, knocked down ceiling, mudding, sanding and priming. Lee is the owner of CLB Drywall & Decor. I shopped around 5- 6 different drywall contractors before deciding on Lee. For 2 main reasons: He was highly recommended by a friend of ours and his price was by far the most reasonable. You shouldn't just get the cheapest quote whoever you use. But that CLB had the best quote and came highly recommended made up our minds pretty quickly. He finished everything on time and within budget. He was very respectful of my hardwood floors, walls and property, taking measures to ensure they stayed protected. All without my asking. He's very friendly too and listens to what you want done. Our basement looks awesome after he was done with it and we're very happy!

Richard from Beaver Hardwood was recommended to me by another company once they heard of my plight. The previous contractor we hired to do our floors did such a horrible job that we had to hire someone else to repair the damages and to make it right. We wanted white floors and the bad contractor had painted our floors white with Pool paint of all things! And used primer as the main white as well, so there were various shades of white and he also left all kinds of dirt in the varnish. Anyways, Richard totally helped me out and made everything right. He sanded down and away all the ugly paint and stained my floors a beautiful brown. And we are so very happy with the result. The workmanship he and his workers did were wonderful. I was very very pleased with the result. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Richard and his company for any Hardwood flooring needs.

Our house was much damaged by a previous contractor - Urban Property Group. Walls were not properly painted and paint damage everywhere on cabinetry. Anyway Ben Sieppert the owner was recommended to us by a friend. He and his team did a great job repainting the interior of our house. They are not the cheapest and are on the higher end of all the quotes we received, but they do pretty good work. Paint specks on our hardwood floors were minimal but still there. Occasionally I still see a few specks and I scrape them off. But maybe I'm just anal and this is perfectly normal. But they sanded the walls and did a great job and were punctual. Will recommend if anyone needs professional painters.

Was recommended this Drywall Supplier by our Drywall Installer. Spoke to Dave. Very friendly and professional. They deliver directly to your basement for a minimal cost. Drywall and other drywalling supplies cost was fair and reasonable. Drywall was supposed to be delivered at 9am,no one arrived then. But I received a call at about 9.45am telling me that they were gonna be late. The unloading was quickly done by 4 guys. 2 of them scuffed up my wall and door frames a little, but they were easily removed with stain removers. But I guess that comes with the territory with renovations. Overall, was happy I hired them. And will use them again if needed.

Everything was done via email and phone with Lance Flinkert, owner of Simple Shower Solutions. Though based in Edmonton, he was very quick to answer most of my concerns and questions. My shipment was delayed a week due to the shower base being constructed to the wrong size. But Lance was quick to troubleshoot and notify me of the issue so that we're not wondering where it was and why it was delayed. That is professionalism and good customer service. At the time of writing, we're in the midst of installing the waterproof, leak free shower base. It would have been nice if the instructions for installing were on their website or enclosed with the products. But I had to email and ask. Still, once I asked, I received the instructions very quickly via email. The shampoo niches installed with no problems the other day. We had a bit of a hiccup trying to install it last night, but I hope tonight the shower base gets installed with no problems. It's the first time either of us has used this product and none of our friends have used it either. So I hope it goes well! I will certainly be recommending this product if it does!

Bernie U. is the owner of the company and he was very professional. He came all the way from Coventry to the Deep SE to give me an estimate. Though he wasn't the cheapest, I felt more comfortable going with him as he charged by the hour at $80/hr instead of lump sums that other companies have quoted me. I knew that the roughing in wouldn't take too long and for a 6 hour job, it was really very reasonable. He was punctual when it came time to do the actual rough-in. He was quite neat after he finished, except that I had to clean up the dirt marks from his work boots on our hardwood floor. But that's a very small issue, took only 2mins. He did a great job otherwise. The parts & supplies that he provided aren't the lowest prices for the same thing from other plumbing companies, but the savings from him charging by the hour more than makes up for it. All in all, I would definitely recommend Bernie's plumbing services and would definitely use him again if the situation requires it. This additional comment is almost a week after Bernie did our plumbing rough in for the basement bathroom. We had an issue with the drain pipe for the shower not being tall enough to install our Ready-to-Tile Shower base on. Again, he came all the way from the NW down to deep SE, and fixed the issue, giving the flexibility of making the drain pipe shorter or taller to suit our needs. Which was a better solution than we expected! He was very quick and did it within 10mins. Didn't want to charge for his time and only a very small, reasonable amount for the extra part needed. I changed the review from a 9 stars to 10stars. This company deserves it! And again, highly recommend!

I found them on Groupon and bought the deal. They also operate under the name The Squeegee Men. Made the appointment and nobody turned up. I called before supposed appointment date to confirm and nobody picked up the phone and the voicemail was full. After the appointment date where nobody turned up or called to reschedule, I called them and again no response. I finally contacted Groupon and they refunded my money back in the form of Groupon credits. Not impressed at all.

Found them on Kijiji and decided to use them as they were licensed and had the best deal around. Spoke to Jodie and Kevin to arrange the servicing of our furnace and cleaning of fireplace for our condo rental. They arrived on time, professional and clean and were friendly as well. We used them in August 2012 and only wrote a review now. Sorry for the delay, but they were awesome and I would definitely recommend them because of their professionalism and pricing!

Found them online with an awesome website promo. They have 3 stores in town. North, South and Okotoks. Called the Okotoks store and spoke to the Manager, Tavis who was very helpful and has a sense of humor. Arranged to have my central vac installed in just a few days. The tech that came to install was punctual, professional and did his job very well and left the area clean. I am very happy with the vacuum he recommended me - Nilfisk Supreme 250 and will definitely refer him to others!

I found this company on Homestars. I was getting quotes from 2 other contractors. Chris the owner came to do a free estimate on installing HVAC for our basement. One of the first steps to do before doing the electrical and plumbing. His quote was competitive and I like that he had a warranty on his services. His price was actually similar to another contractor, but the other contractor had a minimal warranty, whereas Chris had a 2 year labor warranty. So that was icing on the cake. His brother Kyle came the following Saturday and installed everything within the time frame promised. I gave 9 stars instead of 10 because after we confirmed for a Saturday install, I was told I would be informed what time his brother would arrive. But he didn't tell me until the day before and that was after I contacted him already a couple times to ask. HOWEVER, the install was well done and I would recommend and use them again.

DO NOT use this company! They damaged our home and did not repair their damages and conned us out of our money. The co-owner and project manager is Lucas L. We found him on Kijiji which was a mistake to begin with! He was really charming in the beginning, but when problems started to arise, he made himself scarce. His and his workers work ethics leave much to be desired. They would take 4hour lunch breaks or only work for 2-4 hours a day. He would tell me he would be there on this and that day, and not turn up. He was supposed to paint all my walls, put hardwood on my floors and to stain them. His paint job showed framing everywhere, and he didn't paint behind my stove or fridge! He laid down the hardwood and didn't do a proper finishing job around the fireplace. And he didn't stain under the stove or fridge either! And he left footprints, dirt and hair stuck in the varnish of the floor. It was horrible. I had to spend another $14,000 to repair what he had done and didn't do! My bathrooms and toilets were also left in a disgrace with poop down the sides of the toilet bowl. Both in and outside! It was disgusting!! He and/or his workers also left cigarette butts, beer cans, beer caps littered in and around our house and yard. A 3 week project turned into 6 weeks and he wasn't even done! After we did the walk through and there was things that needed to be repaired, he said to pay him first and he'll come back next week to finish up as he needs to pay his men. So we did, and he never turned up. It was horrible, horrible horrible. We brought him to small claims court and won, hands down with all the evidence presented. He didn't even turn up for the hearing or for the request for moderation before the hearing. He just disappeared and ignored our requests for communication. NEVER go with this company!
