He did warn me the energy saving light bulb is no good for it, but he inatall for me, it works very good since June 7 till today (June 24). Robert N. did the capping, very good job but I notice he close the light bulb cover for us (good intension).right after he left, the light and the sensor are not working, I change to the regular light bulb under their instruction is not helping. They instruct me to turn off the power and get up there to do somethig with screwdriver. I don't think I'm capable to do it. I have no electrical knowlege. It is not very helpful for me. I have to call my contrctor to come to help me in next few days to get it fix.*** I won't recommad them to anybody else for their sevice.especial senior *** June 25 my contractor came in a.m. and found out the breaker for the door was off, after corrected it. everything is fine now.

Company Response

Keeping in mind this is a customer supplied opener bought from Sears, that worked perfectly after installation. Our customer was instructed not to use energy saver bulbs In the opener as they bend the contacts on the plastic socket and the lights no longer work. Our customer instructed Ryan to install them after he had been advised that they should not be installed. When we were contacted we attempted to diagnose the problem over the telephone first. We asked the customer to check to see if the light bulb was burnt out, as I was told the machine went up and down but the lights would not turn on. As you can read in our customers comment the opener would not have gone up and down without power to it so the diagnosis I was given was false. I suspected the breaker may have been the issue but when I was told the opener was running it ruled out power being the cause. The customer refused to check the bulbs and asked us to drive from Markham to North York immediately to see if a bulb for his opener was the problem. I offered to look at the problem within a few days when I was in the area, I knew it was not urgent because I was told the opener was working just the lights were not. In the end the breaker on the house had tripped after we had left and it was the renovator that fixed the problem by flipping the breaker back on. I have no idea when or why the breaker tripped and I am sorry you are unhappy as a result, We are still here to warranty our work or give you support over the phone or in person if needed if you have any problems with our product. I do believe that we could have solved this issue over the phone with a little cooperation and with an accurate description of the problem. Had we heard that the opener was not running at all I would have said flip the breaker and would have directed you over the phone on how to complete this task. However I'm happy to hear that everything is working as it should now, and hope that you enjoy the new door. It sure does look great! Thanks for taking the time to write this review.
