I had a Nest thermostat in our condo unit that we rent out that had been working for years just fine. Got Alert to come in to service the existing heat pump (as it had stopped producing heat). I get a call from the tenant indicating that they will need to install a new thermostat (which I will need to pay for) because it had been improperly installed and coincidentally broke while they were servicing the heat pump. I found this a rather curious coincidence seeing as how it had worked fine for years. More recently I had them replace the same heat pump. Not sure why I ended up choosing them - must be getting forgetful in my old age. As far as I can tell the replacement went OK. They sent an invoice shortly afterwards. Before the job started I had specifically asked them to ensure that the wiring was compatible with a Nest and to provide a wiring diagram and they said it was not a problem. When the invoice came, I asked about the wiring and the diagram and indicated I'd be happy to pay as soon as that was confirmed. Their accounting clerk copies Denny and asks him to respond. Nothing. So I wait. And wait. And wait. About 4 months later, I suddenly get a barrage of threatening e-mails demanding payment and tacking on 4 months of interest. I reply to each of them, again reiterating that I had been awaiting confirmation of the wiring and the wiring diagram and enclosing copies of the prior e-mails. Each time, they disregard my response and send yet another e-mail demanding immediate payment, or they'll tack on additional interest and service charges, and threatening to send it to "collections". In other words, the folks got really upset because they didn't bother to respond to a simple e-mail to confirm whether or not the work that had been promised to be done was in fact done, and then forgot about it four months. Rather sloppy and unprofessional, in my opinion. The heat pump seems to work though, so there's that.

Not a huge job, but quite well done. Small bathroom in a condo that needed a repaint plus some patching throughout the condo. Erki was able to help pick the perfect colour and managed to get the work done in the same week. I'm pretty picky when it comes to work and was quite happy with his attention to detail.

I'm not sure what it is about roller blinds, but it always seems difficult to find someone willing and able to service them. The original retailer of our blinds refused to service them, saying warranty repairs were the manufacturer's responsibility. The manufacturer said that they themselves wouldn't service them, and brought in another of their retailers, who had the gall to tell us that they had to be completely replaced (which we could tell was not the case). We contacted a few other places - most indicated they could not service them because they didn't sell the brand (not unreasonable I suppose) or wanted upwards of $200 for some simple repairs (fixing mounting, reattaching the weighted bar at the bottom). Others just didn't bother calling back. Anyway, we were lucky enough to find Sky Blinds. Courteous, prompt, showed up on time and charged a reasonable price for their services. The work was perfect. In a sea of scoundrels, Sky Blinds is a shining beacon of excellence. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. And when it comes time to get new blinds, they will be the first folks I call.

Unit had already been cleaned by someone else but I wasn't happy with the stove, microwave, cooktop and windows. Asked Condo Fresh to come in specifically emphasizing same. Looked exactly the same to me after they were done. Very disappointed.

Excellent service throughout from estimate to installation. Knowledgeable, courteous staff who showed up on time and as promised. Installation was quick and efficient with clear explanations of how the new pump worked. Particular kudos to Michael Beighton - very helpful, very honest advice.

Convenience Group installed 3M Safeguard S140 Security Window Film on a total of 7 relatively large windows with multiple panes (26 in total) in our house, with anchoring. While at times there seemed to be some difficulties in communication, overall we were quite happy with the work. They ultimately took an extra half day, but we didn't mind - prefer that the work be down well rather than quickly. Quality of the installation was top notch - film is barely noticeable, if at all.

A group of 4 guys led by Cody did a stellar job with our move out of a 2 bedroom condo, 2 storage lockers and an offsite storage facility into a house. They were quick and did a great job, particularly on a gigantic mirror that couldn't fit in our condo elevator and had to be hand-carried down a staircase. Added bonus was that they were all great, friendly guys. Highly recommended.

Drew provided helpful advice on securing our home. He ended up doing quite a bit for us, including window bars, reinforcing doors and doorways and putting in polycarbonate. Top notch work. Highly recommended.
