I recently had Fix My House renovate my en suite bathroom. They also did some work in my kitchen that required the removal of a ceiling bulkhead that housed fluorescent lighting. Ive upgraded through the years but this was my first experience with a more involved renovation. Both the process and outcome for both projects was wonderful. Alan gave me some helpful suggestions for materials and was very patient with all my questions. Communication with Alan and Joanne was easy and responsive. The whole team at Fix My House was hard working and did their best to limit the disruption that any renovation can cause. The bathroom looks fantastic. I would definitely use Fix My House for any future projects without hesitation.

My 17 year old furnace and air conditioner needed replacing and after researching various companies I contacted Convertible Air. Chris came to my home and after inspecting, provided a quote for several different options. He was knowledgeable and patient with my questions, explaining the options clearly, including warranties and OPA rebates. The installers, Brandon and Josh, arrived on time, worked steadily, were also patient with my questions and cleaned up well. Brandon even phoned the evening before the installation to confirm the time. They tested everything before leaving and explained operation of the new thermostat to me. My one and only concern relates to the air conditioner. Chris had thought the new air conditioner would fit on the existing brackets. I'm unable to have it placed on the ground as that area slopes (limited options for placement as I'm in a townhouse). The new air conditioner was slightly wider than the brackets so a new concrete slab was placed on the brackets with the air conditioner sitting on top of that. It does appear balanced and stable. I did mention this to Chris on the phone the next day and he was reassuring that Convertible Air stands behind it's products and installations and should I have any difficulties to call him and it will be rectified. Given my experience this far I would certainly recommend Convertible Air. Thank you to Chris, Brandon and Josh.

I want to thank Affordable Insulation for a very professional and painless upgrade to the attic insulation in my 17 year old home. Jason provided the initial inspection and answered all my questions without making me feel pressured in any way. The written quote was clear and specific. On the day of installation Syd and his team arrived on time and worked steadily throughout the day, keeping me informed at each step. Syd even fixed a poorly fitted attic hatch door. I had some work done by Maxima-Aluminum several years ago and was very pleased with every aspect of their workmanship. Gennadiy and his partner Stas came to my rescue again this past week. I experienced an ice dam along one side of my home and the eavestrough separated from the roof (this gutter was not installed by Maxima).I was really concerned that the whole thing was going to come down. Gennadiy responded quickly to my call for help, was very patient with my questions and outlined all options available but left the final decision to me. They scheduled me very quickly following the melting of the ice and replaced the damaged eavestrough as well as a replacing the old eavestrough along the back of the house. They were also able to add an additional downspout despite a difficult location. All this with deep snow still being on the ground! Thank you Gennadiy and Stas. I have found this company to be responsive, punctual, hardworking and reliable with reasonable quotes that do not take advantage of emergency situations. Would not hesitate to contact them again if needed or to recommend them to friends, neighbours or family. Thanks again.

I have been concerned about my eaves and downspouts for some time. They have been leaking at the corners and this past winter there appeared to be some problems with ice dams. I had the roof replaced last spring and was concerned that over time the leaks would damage the roof. I read the reviews about Maxima Aluminum on Homestars and decided to call them for a quote. Gennadiy arranged an appointment and arrived on that date and on time. He was very professional and answered all my questions after inspecting the eaves. I was impressed that the person providing the quote was also the person doing the work. He provided what I felt was a very reasonable quote and did not suggest doing work that did not need to be done, but made some good suggestions about some improvements to water flow. I did not think the work would be done for several weeks but Gennadiy called and began the job just a few days after the first appointment. The work was done in one day and I now have new eaves and downspouts that look great, are well secured, and drain properly away from the foundation. The clean up was great and Gennadiy even left me an extra piece of downspout and a small colour sample should I want to match paint later. I even receiveed a followup call the day after the work was done to ensure I was satisfied. Great customer service! Would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family and I will call again if I need further work done in the future. Many thanks.
