Recent very high winds lifted about 8 ridge shingles that BC had installed on my townhouse in June 2013. They sent a service person Kyle the next day and he was most courteous and efficient in fitting new shingles. Very cheerful despite the intense cold and this warranty work was done without any quibbling. Well done Better Contracting. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof.

Kevin came to unblock kitchen drain. After fitting a new clean out access he snaked 24 feet down to main drain. Problem partly caused by pipes having insufficient slope so next day he returned and fitted new bottoms to both sinks and lifted the trap etc. up about two inches which gave a good slope to the stack pipe. He was very courteous and clean and left us with instructions how to treat our drain in future to avoid build-up and smells that we had experienced recently. It was quite expensive but considering two visits and extra pipework fitted it was probably in the ballpark.

After reading HomeStar reviews we called Mark to diagnose why all our town home lights flicker when the washer and dryer are on. Having checked the main panel and a number of sockets he found that the meter had melted the contacts in the box and one side was black from the arcing.He gave an acceptable price for the repair, arranged for hydro disconnection and reconnection outside and provided an ESA certificate on completion. We have already given his name to a friend locally.

Being human, I must have been having one of those off days... sorry I couldn't produce the quality you expected and therefore only deserve nine points out of ten. It is clear that there is room for improvement.
I am glad your project has been completed and power was restored within the timeframe we anticipated; (especially since it was during a snowy winter day) I am also glad that coordinating with Toronto Hydro was done according to plan.
I hope your new hydro meter base is holding up...
