Roofers did a good job. Showed up on time. Two vents were not installed at same time of roof. Forgotten. Installed next day. Clean up was not done efficently. Nails left on porch and in laneway. Magnet was not used on lawn to pick up nails. When estimate was done, he did not take into account an extra layer of shingles like 3 other estimaters did. Did not inform us of increase in cost until after job was done. Even though we were home all day. I think this is called "blind siding the customer". He then pointed out a clause on contract to cover the increased cost. Finaly came to a reasonable solution. Always read contract completly.

Two workman showed up an hour late for appointment. When they arrived they did a quick inspection and then helped move items I forgot to move. They then placed a carpet runner on the floor and steps. They removed the old furnace and water tank and will return in spring to replace air conditioner. A third workman arrived about 1 1/2 hours into the job and the work proceded faster. They were there for about 8 hours. There was a problem turning off my gas from the meter. They cleaned their mess in the basement, but left a mess where the pipes went through the basement wall. Overall, I was reasonably happy with the work.

We were going to have our heating ducts cleaned by Direct Energy and when they came in to do the job, on inspection the serviceman found asbestos around three ducts leading through the floor in between the walls. When Asbex came to remove the asbestos, the serviceman explained exactly what he would be doing and how he would package the refuse. he was courtious and after repeated tries, he would not stop calling me "sir". He was particularly sensitive to my familys environmental sensitivities. I would recomend them to family and friends.
