Having used The Home Improvement Group for 3 previous jobs, they were my first choice for repainting our living room, dining room, connecting hallways and all trim. Their advertised painting special was the trigger puller. Les provided what I thought was a fair estimate and was very flexible regarding start time. The 2 painters were here for 3 days, did a first rate job and cleaned up thoroughly before departure. Very satisfied!

One side of my roof had deteriorated due to the acidic effect of spruce needles, plus, the lowest row of shingles on the other side was in bad shape. I talked to 3 companies - one said "whole roof or nothing", another one quoted me for half the roof, but declined doing the "Mickey Mouse job" on the other side. Dan from Reliable gave me a competitive quote, and honestly said he would try to repair the other side, but couldn't guarantee it would work. During the quote stage and the work stage, he kept me updated and always called before coming to the house. His crew was cheerful, cleaned up well and Dan did the second repair job himself - everything looks great. Dan was professional and friendly and answered all my questions. Two thumbs up!

Although not a big job, I knew it was niggly enough that I didn't want to do it myself. Due to water damage many years ago, the ceiling had sagged a little around our free-standing brick fireplace and a patch of "popcorn" ceiling treatment had given way, exposing the sub material. Rather than replace the entire living room ceiling, I determined that crown moulding would cover it up with a lot less money and aggravation. Les arrived 3 days after my call, gave me a reasonable estimate and, to my surprise, scheduled the work for the following week. Arek arrived on time and prepared. He was pleasant, thorough, finished the job at the estimated time and cleaned up well before he left. He cleverly hid the fact that the ceiling and brick are not squared up. It looks great - we're very pleased.

Dear Brian
It sounds like your little project went according to plan and we're happy to hear it. Les' many years of experience make him a great problem solver so I'm not surprised he had some "fixit" ideas to send your way. Thanks for the review!

We actually needed the opposite of most of the reviews here. Since we had our tub and surround re-done with a fit-over formed acrylic a few years ago, we were looking to update the dated, tired tile on the other 3 bathroom walls. The crew of 2 were efficient, courteous and they cleaned up nicely after the job. The result is astounding and incredibly cheaper than ripping out the tile and starting over. They very accurately taped off all the areas we wanted preserved and when they ripped the paper away, not a drop bled through. Yes, there is a strong chemical smell for almost 24 hours, but that was a small sacrifice for the outcome quality. Highly recommended.

We researched several companies, looking for one that would 1) refinish our dated pickled oak kitchen cabinets in white and 2) install crown moulding and baseboard in the kitchen. When we found how flexible Perfect was, we added new paint for the ceiling and walls to the job. Les was very attentive and thorough in the estimate and prep process, and intro'd us to the painter and crown installer on day 1, then let them get to work. 5 business days later, we had a completely refreshed kitchen. The guys were professional, accommodating, polite, very skilled and cleaned everything at the end of the day. We couldn't be happier. I almost feel like inventing a job just so they'll come back!

Valentin came the next day after I told him my problem: leaking faucet in the tub had a calcified handle so I couldn't remove it to replace the cartridge without fear of creating a larger more damaging problem. He had experience with this issue and knew all the tricks. He was efficient, very polite, explained everything very well and did a great job. What else do you need? I'll be calling him next time!
