Mersey conducted a diagnostic and repair for a total of $1,200. However, this did NOT fix the issue. The $1,200 repair was to check if there was a leak, extract the freon, and top-up the freon. I already knew there was a leak beforehand and communicated this to the company. After this incident, I was quoted another $2,200 to replace a part of my A/C unit. This was NOT communicated to me during the diagnostic or initial stages of the repair. A new unit is ~$5,000, if they told me it was $3k to repair, I would have chosen to get a new unit. I've contacted Mersey and they will not refund the $1,200 charge. My AC still doesn't work.
