I contacted Redtail Hawk to do a clean up level and relay patio and lay sod. He wanted to do it in phases which is true order of operations. But he quoted clean up said he had to put together price for other phases makes sense. Came to do clean up his guys are amazing. They cleaned up and hauled away materials and plants. At the end of the day owner hands me the bill for rental of a chain saw and stump grinder. Now to me a contractor in the field should have a chainsaw and the stump grinder was overkill. But it was out and clean. There was still a whole area around the patio and shed that they didnt touch and when I asked he said he would do it with phase 2 patio that I still had no price on He sent me a price for the patio and the sod Friday evening by text these are his words not altered. Hello hear is quote for patio slabs installation 2856$ client must pay for supplies HpB ,extra slabs if needed and crushed stones. Cash Sod installation 2200$ strip hauling away debris leveling soil installation sod installation. Client must pay for supplies soil and sod from young sod farm cost of sod is 387.59 $ 2 skids delivery costs red tail hawk gardeners 80$ I told him I thought this was a for just labour and he responded with Really not labor only skilled and labor I thanked him and said it was to expensive asked if he would be coming to finish phase one clean up and he has ghosted me. Thank you to his staff for their hard work as I have no issues there. Issues are with someone who price gouges.
