My fridge/freezer stopped working and I called them. The tech said it wasn't the compressor but a control board. Sounds familiar? Many have reported them saying the same thing and not delivering. The first thing was that they wanted cash or debit, which of course should have shut down the transaction, but I was only told this after the tech had tinkered with my appliance. I paid $746.33 and they were to order the part and come fix it. One week later, the tech shows up with the wrong part - and another week wait ahead. I call them at the 2 week mark and they say that they again received the wrong part. I told them I wanted to cancel, to which they said that I would have to pay restocking fees. For a part I never got? And why should I pay for them "ordering" (if they did, as I very much doubt that) the wrong part? Their beef should be with their suppliers. This is outright dishonesty all round, something they seem to relish. They had my money and they think there was nothing I could do about it. So, 2 MONTHS LATER, after many phone calls and excused on their part, they send a cheque for $285.79. They have essentially charged me almost $500 for nothing! Do yourself a favour and DO NOT go anywhere near Appliance Repair Team (if they are still doing business under this name when you read this review) unless you want to throw your money into a pigs trough. This operation is entirely and obviously dishonest.

My fridge/freezer broke down on a Saturday - I called Appliance Repair and they sent someone 3 hrs later. They gave a massive labour charge quote but assured me that they would fix my fridge once they got the part and there was hardly anything suitable for months due to backorders. The only payment option was by debit card, which I was not informed ahead of time- all of which should ring alarm bells. One week later, the tech shows up and says the part is not the correct one. After another week, they tell me the part sent to them is still not the right one. I then ask for my money back. Not only did they ask for the exorbitant labour charge of $280 - supposed to cover the board which was never fitted, they then deducted what they called restocking & shipping fees! And it will take at least one 1 week for me to get a cheque for the paltry sum refunded. Keep in mind - the fridge/freezer WAS NOT REPAIRED and the part was not the right one. Speaking to Victoria and Hasti was fruitless. There seems to be a company policy to fleece anyone who falls into their hands. Forget service or honesty - they have NO idea of what that means. Why should I pay a restocking fee if the wrong part was sent - TWICE? Did they order the correct part? Did they even order anything? After this, I contacted Maydone, and the technician actually collected 2 boards directly from the suppliers and was in my home within 3 hours of the call. Yet Appliance Repair claim it took them one week from the suppliers, who sent the wrong part, TWICE! For which I pay a ridiculous restocking and shipping fee. This must be a profitable racket for them. DO NOT USE APPLIANCE REPAIR! You will be fleeced!

I had a terrible experience with another company over a period of 2 weeks after my fridge/freezer stopped working. Doing a search for a reliable appliance repair service, I hit the jackpot. I spoke to the owner who was very understanding. A few hours later, Adel showed up with 2 parts that he thought may be causing the problem. He fitted one part and the fridge and freezer are now working! I can't thank Maydone and Adel's expertise enough!
