Please, do not hire a Home Inspector by the name of Gill! We almost signed a Purchase Agreement on the basis of his home inspection. He was referred to us by our Realtors, who like Gill, seemed like nice, good people, but when we started to see signs from our Realtors and the Sellers that seemed suspect, we decided to get a second opinion on this house. GOOD THING WE DID. There's no money to be made if a home inspector provides an accurate accounting of all the defects that terminates the sale of a home. Given the list of things Gill missed, the only possible conclusion is that he is either incompetent or he ignored and withheld crucial information! A quick example - GILL only took 28 photos during the Home Inspection compared to 150 photos by a proper Home Inspector. Do your own research and choose your own representative... Inspect your inspector. We're lucky we got a second opinion - Had we signed the purchase agreement based on HIS home inspection, we would have been in trouble.

We had Marcus and Shane cleaning our ducts a couple days ago. They were nice, friendly and knowledgeable. I would be confident in recommending Dave's Duct Cleaning as well as Marcus and Shane to anyone. The overall work performance and customer service was very good. I believe that customer service after the fact is just as important as it is during a job. I think it says a lot about a companies commitment to its customers if the service was lacking in any way, they don't hesitate to rectify the situation. I was initially going to rate the service 9 of 10 because they forgot to cover the outtake vents so some of the dust didn't blow out from it as they were cleaning and they forgot to reattach a three intake vents before they left. That being said, I was 95% satisfied with their customer service and overall work performance. I decided to rate the service the full 10 because when I informed them of the issues we experienced, they were more than willing to have Marcus and Shane return to reattach the vents and clean the surrounding area. We would have taken them up on the offer, but we already cleaned and reattached the covers as we didn't want our cats exploring the duct system. lol We had put off the cleaning our ducts since we bought and moved into this house February 1st. After this cleaning, I am very happy we didn't wait further. We watched a video of them cleaning our main intake. You could see a lot of dust and dirt being sucked out of the vents and as we got further into the video, my jaw dropped by what was being pulled out... Huge, nastiness filled clumps of dirt strung together with human and animal hair and whatever else was in there. What more can I say, it was down right nasty and it's seriously disturbing to think that the air we've been breathing has been passing through this polluted mess. If you've never had your ducts cleaned or you've bought an older house, do yourself a huge favour and get your ducts cleaned as soon as possible. Don did a great job on our home inspection! He is knowledgeable, professional, qualified and thorough. If you're going to pay for a home inspector, pricing should not be your first priority. Find the best inspectors 1st, then consider pricing. Don knew what he was doing and cared enough about his job and his clients to do it right, earning every penny! Thanks for the help Don.
