My brand new GE dryer was leaking gas. Elite stated a part had to be ordered so I patiently waited even though I'm home with a baby and do 3-4 loads a week. After another week had passed I called and they stated the part was on backorder and couldn't give me an ETA. I followed up with GE for a whole week - they too couldn't give me a definite answer until today. Apparently the part was always available and they were expediting it over to Elite overnight. According to them, the technician probably made an error upon ordering. Upon hearing this, I notified Elite to which they stated that their system showed the part was outstanding and GE probably just got the part today. What a lovely experience this was. 4 weeks and I'm still out of luck. Please save yourselves and conduct business with another company. The lack of ownership, customer service and knowledge is appalling. I guess when you're covered under warranty and not a paying customer, the level or service goes down exponentially.
