Moved into our new home in downtown Toronto where the basement carpet definitely needed a cleaning due to cat spraying. Found Soft Surfaces/Fred based on Homestars and a single call and his office had us scheduled for within the week. Fred and his assistant were very friendly, polite and did a great job. The only reason I haven't given them full marks was that over the phone the office quoted a rate of 39c per sqft and when it came time to settle up ...the invoice was for 50c per sqft. I mentioned this discrepancy to Fred and he apologized profusely for the misinformation I was given over the phone and promised to look into this immediately to rectifying any discrepancy in rate quote information by his phone operator for future clients. I had no problems with the jump in price as it was more in-line with what I'd originally anticipated and the 39c rate was simply a bonus when I first had called. It was my own fault for not confirming, the quoted over the phone rate that I was given, with Fred prior to setting him to work. I'd recommend that anyone using them simply double check the quote prior to commencing the actual cleaning. Beyond this misunderstanding ...several weeks later our basement carpet looks great and no longer emanates the nasty cat spray smell. Many thanks for the great job!

Our 12yr old downtown Toronto townhouse roof was in need of either two major leak repairs or a re-shingling throughout. We opted for the later given the cheap shingle we inherited when we bought the house. Under advisement we got quotes from multiple roofing companies; all found through HomeStars and all with high ratings. We received a very wide range of customer service and quotes. My ultimate choice and experiencing with Downtown Roofing was second to none. You get the professionalism and quality of a larger company, but the client care and response of a small company. From my initial phone call, Joe was standing in my front hall within an hour to do the evaluation. He even returned a day later with the "TALL" ladder and his son so that he could get up and personal with our roof and solidify his free estimate quote. I am not the type to "just go with the lowest price" as honesty, reliability and accountability of one's work go a long way for me. Joe and his son Aaron checked all of these boxes and just so happened to also bring in the lowest quote to boot (inclusive of the highest quality materials and more thorough sealing of the roof)! Bottom line on Downtown Roofing ...professional!, on-time!, on-budget!, and cleaned up the site was impeccable post completion! I HIGHLY recommend Downtown Roofing!

Same as with some of the previous poster's reviews, Easy Flip and Mike were a pleasure to work with. Fast response, on time, explained in full detail, helpful recommendations leaving decisions up to me with no pressure. Very happy I called and chose to use them. I highly recommend them; where some of the other outfits I called either refused to come (saying my work was cosmetic) or had minimum charge rates that ended up being more than EasyFlip's flat rate plus parts combined!
