Mike is a very honest, reliable, prompt and extremely professional. His troubleshooting is right on, provides detail explanations, and helps you consider your options, and thinks what is best for your situation, keep you updated you when he is coming. He was referred by a contractor whom did work for us. At that time, he changed our underground broken clay pipes, installed our backwater valve (& helped us apply for the City backwater valve rebate), upgraded our main water supply to 1 copper. His work is tidy. Worry-free. We can leave him alone and rest easy that his work is done well. This time, we had an emergency. We had a backed up toilet on the first floor & second floor that spilled into the basement ceiling. This was due a clogged old cast iron drain stack. We called him immediately and he replaced with a new drain stack with minimal collateral damage. He also snaked our drain several times with different sizes to ensure the pipes were thoroughly open as much as possible. He also changed our old failing faucet and leaky toilet professionally. In summary, Mike is the best. You wont find a better honest drain specialist/professional plumber. Hard to find, where big companies have many managers/levels of staff that you are paying for. We will not use another professional plumber, but rather wait for him. He doesnt waste time-no upselling and excuses. Provides a detailed receipt. We wish we had met him earlier. He deserves more than 10 stars! Thank you Mike for all your help!

We previously had Archie replace our windows and front door and we couldn't be happier with his meticulous and perfectionist work ethic (checking over and over the fit). This time, we had him install a basement exterior door with storm door. Unfortunately, the previous general contractor didn't cut the concrete door opening symmetrical on all sides. So Archie spent a lot of time grinding the concrete down evenly so the new door could fit in. The delivery of the storm door was delayed to the manufacturer (not his fault), but we were always kept informed. He goes above and beyond our expectations. We would not choose any one else and would be willing to wait for him. If only we could give more than 10+stars. Thanks Archie & the Sobol team!

Excellent work from beginning to end---professional, courteous and very efficient team. Eugene, salesperson, came to go over our current furnace needs and give us a detailed quote and discovered a code violation on our hot water tank venting (previously installed by another company, long ago), so it would not pass even though after new furnace was installed. No upselling. Helped us how to get hot water tank rental company correct our venting issue without charge. Afterwards, Eugene booked Gennadiy, furnace installer to come in and remove old furnace (piece by piece, because in tight spot) and installed proper venting and new high efficiency American Std furnace (2 stage), work was precise and meticulous connecting to old ductwork and cleaned up jobsite. Can’t find better furnace installer! Glad to have found Eugene and Gennadiy & Ksenia (office) of ACfurnaceGTA! We just need to make sure Enbridge Auditor submits his paperwork, so we can get Ont gov’t rebates back

Archie was fantastic. Even though not his fault, bathroom window spring was defective after Sobol replaced all our windows 5yrs ago , he came and repaired without charge. We still love our windows and patio door. We get a lot of compliments from them and have referred to all our friends. We won't go anywhere else for the best professional service!

Andrew & Alex came next day after calling to fix leaking toilet onto floor below. Were on time, professionally fixed seal (so far no leaking yet), & very clean. Felt a little overpriced for resealing ($265+tax) a new toilet, but was given quote over phone, and needed done asap, as most plumbers know the urgency. Not sure if less to install new toilet. Had to replace shut off valve ($113 + tax) extra. Great work overall. Would recommend to friends.

Review on Homestars was rated ok. Job started out ok, because told us they lived downtown, so thought would be finished job quickly. Would start early and finish in 3 days--ended up 5 days (even good weather, somedays left early for another job or came late from another job) Promised to be careful and good workmanship. Not reliable or punctual. Damaged neighbour's property (dented downpipe & vent pipes) then tried to cover up, left debris on roof. Showed poor integrity. Quote was cheaper than others for downtown job, but would research better if need another roofing job.

Had to replace 17 yr old chain drive with own purchased Sears Craftsman 1/2 hp chain drive. No problem with Steve. Great service, prompt, very knowledgeable. Checked springs, rollers, garage door and even the other garage door opener...no charge. Does NOT upsell you on service. Other garage door installer (rated high on Homestars) had coupon, but tried to upsell you on more items, not forthcoming on preventative maintenance or upcoming problems...because wanted to come back to fix problem later. But not Steve Esber, great service wanting to do his best for his customers! Thanks Steve!

We had replaced 14 vinyl windows, 1 front door + 1 screen door (incl. tear down walls, new drywall, insulation, electrical, ceramic tile in front foyer) and resetting of patio door (done August 20, 2012-but too busy to write review). Archie, owner (recommended by a friend), was honest (reasonably priced with meticulous detailed quotation) and very professional and worked with us even when some unexpected changes came up. Our existing patio door had to be reset properly (previous contractor had not done a proper job, so the patio door was arching in the middle and the screen door subsequently fell off its track)--so his team worker, Lien, even carefully vacuumed dust constantly during stone cutting to minimize any dust in our kitchen. Excellent workmanship and careful attention to detail-no shortcuts. Always cleaned up everyday, protected our furniture, took off their shoes when going upstairs, punctual & courteous team members. Glad to provide them with Coca Cola (fav drink) & snacks as they worked hard everyday. Definitely would recommend to everyone! Most importantly for us was to do the job right . Just remember to have your ideas ready, book early, otherwise they book up quickly (It's worth to wait for them if you can).
