After our shower sprung a leak affecting the living room ceiling, we contacted Ronal on the recommendation of our plumber. Ronal removed the shower’s old floor, cleaned and updated the under layer then installed a new floor tile. He also took out the old grout in the shower walls and applied new grout and silicon protection. His work fixed the leaks! It looks better than the original, and as a son of a tile and marble subcontractor I shall attest to his excellent work, to the thoroughness in his detailed work to remove and fix as one does for himself; also, to state that his finish is meticulous. Ronal is a pleasant and amiable gentleman, his prices are reasonable and fair. We highly recommend his services.

This is the second time we had work performed by Hussein and his team at “Potlight Expert”. It was a pleasure to watch them as with great efficiency and expertise using state of the art tools they installed 11 potlights, mostly in my home office, and replaced a switch. They pre – protected the areas they worked on removed and dispose of the old fixtures in such skill that the need for a touch up of paint in the ceiling is near zero. Hussein supervises well his team to ensure professional outcome. He is a straight and honest business man, and we heartily recommend his services.

Great shine did a fantastic job at our home dealing with 30 windows. Our house is stucco on the 2nd story; they have a system to reach the reach the 2nd story windows without ladders (which can damage the stucco) Gavin was honest from the get go provided a reasonable firm quotation, his work indeed resulted in great shine.

Robert Valente of Valente studio provided us with a beautiful, effective design that adds much to the house; it maximizes the functionality of the various spaces and ties everything together. See pictures below. His price was very reasonable. Looking backward we recognize that his service is truly a must to any intelligent home/business owner who considers interlock work. Since it separates conflicting interests of design: • For the independent designer - Beautiful flowing design, that will provide beneficial use, take advantage of the property features and affect the value of your home. • For the contractor - to cut the fewest stones, to have the simplest designs and layouts so it takes no time to calculate, measure or plan. This maximizes their profits. Also, they typically do not like to plan much, calculate, or measure exactly (otherwise they will be in a different work area), some cannot. Interlock work has low barrier to entry, and artistic conception, style and design are not typically of areas of study and/or interest to interlock contractors. We found dealing with Robert a pleasure, he is personable and affable. His outstanding design is a source of many compliments from visitors, neighbors, passersby and just last Thursday our mail man caught me outside: “this is an incredible Job you have done with the interlock, you know I see them all”. 10/10/17 We cannot praise enough the excellent work of Holistic Contracting. The owner Rasit is friendly, honest gentleman. He meticulously consulted with us about the various aspects of the job and provided a complete written estimate and contract detailing the materials and steps of the operation, including: related caulking, gutters and soffit and eaves - trough costs. These documents included warranty for his work and for the related trades he hired. Rasit is easy to work with, his prices are competitive and fair, in the final stage when the gutter replacers stained and dented his fresh finished stucco work, Rasit came back, set up scaffolding again and refinished the affected area. Through the many renovations we had in our previous and current home, Rasit stand out as a prince among the contractors we worked with. I shall add that I have no family relation and did not know or met Rasit in any other circumstances before hiring him to replace our aluminum siding on the second floor with stucco. Prior to hiring Rasit (Holistic Contracting) we interviewed no less than five other stucco contractors who are prominently featured on HomeStars, and despite emphasising our request for a written detailed estimate, only one of the five provided such estimate but he would not take responsibility for the caulking operation and warranty (improperly done, could damage more than just the stucco). The other four contractors would not offer a written estimate only a verbal price, though one did write the price on his business card. Price for what, one inch or one and a half inch board, Fine Finish (need two finish coats) or other finishes presented as very similar to Fine Finish, meaning: one finish coat, not as smooth, and will discolor by pollution faster. You had to guess what is included (caulking? related roof’s border aluminum parts) and what the warranty covers. I assume that most of the contractors found writing in English to be onerous as most seemed recent immigrants and perhaps their work is fine; none - the –less we felt so unassured with the other contractors that I started to look for other option such as wood or panels, just to avoid the souk style dealing we encountered with other stucco contractors. Luckily, I decided to call one other name and found Holistic Contracting and Rasit, which provided a professional business dealing a beautiful stucco work on our home, and a smooth and easy renovation experience. Mr. Afnani was honest from the initial phone call to provide the knowhow for us to do the job ourselves and to save money. When he came for the installation we found a congenial professional, who did a fine job, and since it was a small one and quickly executed he also dealt with a lighting fixture which needed adjustment, and refuse to charge for it. We kept his number for our future electrical needs.

This solved a problem of leak from the chimney that was “repaired” many times by other companies but continued to leak for about 12 years! Transparent dealing together with clear diagnostic and solution, couple with reasonable quotes, timely execution made for a very satisfactory completion. The repair of the basement following the removal of the wood burning stove maintained a seamless finish with the existing.

We found the Victory Locks name recommended in HomeStars, I called and Spoke to Tom, who arrived at the agreed time and efficiently open the stuck and broken bathroom door lock and installed a new lock; at the agreed price no surprises. Meticulous work, to create even plain and straight lines, resulted in beautiful finish that is pleasure to look at. The price was very reasonable. Milorad took care to protect the new kitchen from dust and his work manner was precise, careful and calculated. Milorad struck me as an honest gentleman; he is personable and very easy to deal with. Michael Aviv and his team replaced our sub pump and a toilet flush mechanism. It was the first time we use their service and we were impressed by the policy to provide an estimate over the phone rather than book a paid estimate visit which some companies employ. The fee was fair and reasonable. The team was efficient and resourceful with an unforeseen blocked pipe problem (no attempt to hike the fee). They left the work area clean and us satisfied. We certainly will call them first with any plumbing issue.

We used Pest Solution Services for bed bugs treatment. While interviewing various companies we found that in difference to other companies they add dry steam prior to chemical application, this is a step recommended by Government agencies. We noticed that Muhammad worked diligently to examine and treat every nook and cranny. While other companies stated that their total time to treat a whole house will be one hour, Muhammad worked mostly on a section of the second floor for about 3.5 -4 hours.
