I hired John to help me prepare for an ElecCheck inspection by the ESA. I had some wiring in my house that needed to be redone, and some switches/outlets that had to be moved to keep up to date with the new electrical code. He did a fantastic job, and I passed the inspection on the first try. The inspector commented that we EXCEEDED the code, which I was pleased to hear. Thanks John.

I hired Brand Insulation to insulate my old and cold double brick house. The house was built in the 1920's and is extremely cold in the winter. They insulated the main floor by drilling through the brick on the outside of the house. However, for the second floor they stated they couldn't go from the outside due to equipment limitations, and instead needed to drill holes on the inside. This was truly unfortunate as it created more work for me to patch up holes and repaint / touch up the rooms effected. The result is the main floor is noticeably less drafty, its warmer, and much more comfortable. The upper floor is still pretty cold, but in defense of the product, there are large drafty windows upstairs, and my attic requires more insulation as well in order to fully judge the success of the job. Overall, I'm very satisfied, and I'm sure when I replace my upper windows and insulate my attic, I will notice it is much warmer. The guys were excellent, hard working, and friendly.

After buying a very old house with a "sealed off" fireplace we wanted to see what would be involved in reactivating it. After opening up the "seal" Chris found what was perhaps several years of squirrels' nests accumulated and much debris inside the chimney. Everything was cleaned and removed and much to my surprise the chimney was serviceable and ready for fire. I appreciate the honest advice Chris gave with regard to whether I would need a liner put in and what condition my chimney stack is in. He easily saved me a fair sum of money by simply being honest and not installing things I don't necessarily need. Everything was cleaned up after, no mess was left behind. Very professional, and will definitely do business again on future cleanings and other masonry projects in the future. If you don't want to see your money go up in smoke, but want a quality job, call Chris at Metro Chimney. Very happy customer, and can't wait to have my first fire this evening. Thanks Chris, great meeting you.

This is my second review for Mister Plumber but for a second job. This time we replaced the entire drain system in the house including the old Cast Iron stack in the basement. They dug up the basement floor where required removed the old pipe and put in brand new ABS. The guys were professional, didn't charge more than the estimate, and were great at teaching me a little bit about how the system works. They finished quickly and I couldn't be happier with their work. Thank you so much once again guys for an excellent job. I have already recommended Mister Plumber several times and encourage you to let them do work on your next project.

My project was to move the furnace and water heater to a different location in the basement to accommodate the floor plan for a basement apartment. This would also include replacing all the duct work both the supply, and return. I received two other estimates before David's from Quickfast and I must say I am glad I called him. David was the only one that actually took time to understand my project and the details that would need to be looked after to make the project a success. He came up with a brilliant idea of where to run my cold air return so as to minimize overhead obstacles for my future tenant. It seemed that all the other HVAC guys just wanted to rush in and start hacking away at my basement without regard for my special requests. David's price was the best, his ideas and creativity was superior, his communication was always prompt, and he was a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough good things about him. Don't hesitate to call him for an estimate. You have a true professional here.

These guys were easily the most careful movers I have ever had. There were no hidden costs, they showed up on time, and they worked really hard. We had a 3 bedroom home with some really heavy items and they moved everything with relative ease. Great price, awesome service. Thanks guys.

I found Good Looking Homes right here on Homestars. We had a tight timeline and 3 ambitious projects to knock off in a short period of time. Not only did these incredible guys get the work done on time they actually managed to complete an additional interior renovation that was on my wish list - all within the tight deadlines. I appreciated the fact that Liam, my main contact here said they don't linger with projects. They provide the manpower necessary to complete the job as soon as reasonably possible without ever being spread to thin. What a refreshing change from the way so many other contractors work where they take on too many jobs and the work seems to move at a snail's pace. By the way I would rate communication 10/10. Liam was ALWAYS available to discuss project details at all points through the work. The guys that were here were some of the hardest working guys I have come into contact with. They were even willing to stay late on certain days just to make sure we stayed on our timeline. I can't say thank you enough to these guys for really going the extra mile to get everything complete. Now about the work that was done. We did a rebuild of our back deck, and front porch. The workmanship of the carpenters onsite is second to none. Every cut was precise, and every joint was flush. Like any project new ideas sometimes come up, and these guys never fell short of incredible ones to really make these projects stand out. When I surprised the guys with one last item on my wish list there were no grumbles, just assurances that we can get everything I'd like done. The last item on the wish list was a shared laundry centre at the base of my basement stairs. The laundry would be shared between a basement tenant, and the upstairs residents. The work required involved taking out a wall, moving the basement door out a few inches, and running all new plumbing, electrical, and dryer vent to this new location. The end result of all these projects is nothing short of amazing, and I couldn't be happier with result. To Liam, Stu, Luis and all the guys that came by and worked SO hard to help us reach our dreams, thank you, thank you, thank you. People these guys are the real deal, and reasonably prices. Call them, you won't regret it.

Steve thank you so much for this very long and detailed review. Your project was one of the most challenging and exciting projects we have had the pleasure of taking on. I am honored that you made note of the level of communication we maintained during the project. I think this is one of the most important aspects of large projects as so many things can change from day to day. But it is a two-way street and the client and contractor must both maintain communication. Even the added interior job was an exciting addition and was a pleasant curve-ball. Thanks again for this amazing review and we hope to see you next year.
