Moved into my home about 10 years ago and got J&S to change the furnaces, and water heaters and other gas, plumbing and electrical work - thousands of dollars in work. They were good back then and I would have sung their praises to anyone who would listen. Recently, the ownership changed and now it's all about the money grab. No customer loyalty, poor customer service, shoddy workmanship, and much, much worse. One of thee furnaces that they originally changed was giving us issues, so they came in and said we needed to change it. It was still under warranty. They replaced it with a "new" and "better" furnace at no cost. They also cut a huge hole in a duct because it "needed more air." Despite asking for warranty info, they never produced it - their office manager said she was still learning how to get that paperwork together and would send it out soon. Time passed and I forgot to follow up. That was a few years ago. Recently, had someone from another company come out to quote us on a new humidifier for the furnace and they told us that the replaced furnace was actually older than the one they took away and was out of warranty. They looked at the hold in the ductwork and said that should never have been done because it was drawing stale air from the ceiling cavity into the furnace, not air from the house. Contacted J&S and all they would say was "we no longer do gas work" - yet 4 weeks earlier they had called me up to renew my "membership" which included gas work. Stay clear from J&S services and find a reputable company.
