Our Dining Table: Wood species - Ash Dining table legs - Perpendicular Metal Dimensions - 93" x 42" Price - $4502 (includes tax) Lead time: 2 months (placing order/deposit to delivery) From beginning to end, dealing with Melissa from Urban Tree Salvage has been such a smoothe process! From our initial consult, to a thorough tour of all the available wood species, choosing our cuts, customizing our selected table legs and getting our table delivered - it was a breeze! We've had our dining table for about 6 months now and it's held up well (aside from the superficial scratches from usage, to be expected) the piece is solid and the urethane finish is holding up well! I do wish some of the smaller divots in the wood were epoxy-filled, but it's a non-issue Would highly recommend purchasing a customized piece from Urban Tree Salvage!

Too long, didn't read, TLDR; Communication: 11/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Quality of workmanship: 11/10 Professionalism: 10/10 Friendliness: 11/10 Reliability: 11/10 Punctuality: 10/10 Pricing: Extremely reasonable It's been about 5 months and this review is long overdue, Torlys product and installation has held up very well! This is somewhat of a two-part review as Eric from Markham Flooring and Saro, our flooring installer each deserve their own reviews! Markham flooring is a family owned and run business, who's main point of contact is Eric. Eric was really pleasant to deal with, very professional and during the height of the second lockdown, he ensured he kept his distance from us, consultations were by appointment only and masks were worn at all times. Communication was extremely easy going and Eric followed up with us as needed. The entire consultation process was so easy to handle from choosing our flooring and vents to scheduling our install and the install actually happening on time! I would highly recommend Markham Flooring as they're super reliable and the flooring installer they contracted out to us was amazing! Our flooring installer: Let me just start off by saying Saro himself is an amazing person to communicate with. He's extremely talented, with expert flooring knowledge and his cleanliness has left me in awe (refer to photo of how he left our house every night after he finished for the day) From start to finish, Saro has provided nothing but excellence and quality in his workmanship! We had purchased Torlys waterproof laminate flooring from Markham Flooring on Birchmount and Denison, who recommended Saro for laminate flooring installation. Boy were they right. A little background on our install: The previous home owners installed birch hardwood floors that were just too dark for our liking, but to retain property value we decided to lay floating waterproof laminate flooring on top so if we decided to move, we could just rip out the laminate floor easily. Our kitchen counters had been installed on top of the existing hardwood floor and Saro had prefaced that there would be some gaps between the newly laid floor and the foot of the counters, which would require shoe moulding to cover up (it wouldn't look as seamless). Little did I know, the way he cut and installed the laminate floors were so perfect that it lined up well enough to cover with just a bead of caulking (you can refer to some of the before and after caulking photos I've attached). This type of workmanship can be seen throughout our entire main floor, around the door trims, just everywhere! On what was supposed to be the last day of install, Saro was moving our really heavy fridge that didn't seem like it had proper wheels, so it had accidentally scratched our new laminate floor that was installed. Saro spent half a day replacing the flooring that was scratched and was super transparent about it. I wouldn't have known if he didn't tell me. Not only is he experienced at what he does, he's also honest and I really appreciated that! He also consulted me on a lot of install methods to keep us on the same page so there wouldn't be any surprises. I can't recommend Markham Flooring and Saro enough, they will definitely be our go-to flooring company whenever we have flooring needs. They've made our newly purchased house into what we now call our home (and I couldn't be happier)!

TLDR; Communication = 10/10 Reliability = 10/10 Quality = 9.5/10 Timeliness/lead time = 10/10 Cleanliness = 9/10 It's been about 4 months since Hassan installed my mudnook closet and the quality and everything has held up well. At the time (March 2022), I was looking for a closet company to install my mudnook closet as soon as possible since I was about 7 months pregnant at the time and really wanted everything done before baby arrived. I had reached out to at least 3 or 4 other closet companies who were either booking for mid-July to August or they were giving me really expensive quotes. Then I happened upon Star Closet and took a leap of faith with them based on their lead time and install for 3 weeks out (I reached out to them mid March, they said they can install first week of April). The entire process with them from planning, taking measurements, providing a quote, choosing a finish, communication and reliability was extremely smoothe! Although they have a limited selection of colour finishes of the cabinets to choose from (nothing that would be super customizable since they were using Vinyl covered particle boards as their materials), I was able to find a colour that matched my entryway wall colour (Benjamin Moore Oxford White), which was their Premoule A31S. They were able to provide a colour fan deck for me to take home and figure out what I wanted. Hassan came out to take measurements and did the install, Mohammed was at their shop building the cabinets. I had the pleasure of meeting both and both were very pleasant to communicate with! They quoted me $4600 which came out to $5085 after tax, a bit pricey but I was sold on the lead time as they were the only ones who could install in April! After the install, I had some questions about the caulking they used so I can use it on the rest of my entryway for touch up painting and Hassan linked me the exact caulk they used which was very helpful! One thing I do have to say is, I wish they used less caulk on the crevices, I did have to re-do some areas but nothing too cumbersome since you can wipe the caulk off with a damp cloth or rubbing alcohol. There were also some of the Brad nails and sawdust after installation. Overall, I'm not complaining because Star Closet did an amazing job and I would highly recommend them to friends, family and acquaintances!

March 3, 2021 Update: **5-star rating maintained** One of the kitchen sink pipes had a minor leak, so we called Plumbline and an appointment was arranged that same day. Lo and behold the infamous Jamie and Joshua arrived at my door and saved the day once again! Cost of the fix was $114.13 (with tax) Initial Review November 16, 2020: We live in a condo in North Scarborough and management recommended this company to us since it was their go-to company for repairs and plumbing needs. We had a water meter pipe leak that was affecting the unit below us. Initially, Plumbline quoted us <$500 for the fix. So we shopped around a little more and others were quoting us for >$1200 for repairs. After we had arranged a time for Plumbline to come fix our situation (it was arranged for a week after we contacted them). They ended up showing up 3-4 days earlier because they had another job on site! Jamie and Joshua came to our unit, diagnosed the situation as a gasket problem, which is apparently very common in condo buildings our age, and fixed the situation in under 15 mins! I couldn't believe it, we were elated since the leaking could've caused even more damages to the unit below us (which we would've had to pay more out of our own pockets for repairs). Jamie and Joshua were super friendly, professional, and charged us $153 (including tax) for the repair. It's been 3 weeks since the repairs and our water meter pipe hasn't leaked! Rob (I think the owner of the company) was also really helpful about the scheduling process and informing us that they were on site the day I happened to speak with management about plumbing updates, but the real stars of the show were Jamie and Joshua! THANK YOU SO MUCH JAMIE AND JOSHUA FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!! Just for reference, I've attached some photos of where we had our leak that Jamie and Joshua fixed. For those who live in a condo in Scarborough/North York area, I highly recommend Plumbline to fix any water meter pipe leaks that are apparently very common in condos!
