After doing my homework, deciding to replace a 24 year old furnace and AC, three quotes and talking with a relative who just upgraded “furnaceking” came out the top. An independent good reviewed product (Consumers Report), a knowledgeable technical salesman (Sandip) closed the deal. Other vendors had the same opportunity to get the business but their prices were way too high and the other was very competitive, but after sales support was the closer. Sandip advised me on rebates available from gas company and government if I did other upgrades within a time period through an energy audit, to enhance furnace and AC install. This also led to other discovery of rebates for a smart thermostat of $75 (which I was not going to do initially). The delivery and installation was smooth, in by 9am out by 2PM for the furnace, the AC is delivered, will be fully installed in April. A clean basement helps the installation process. A clean installation by the installers, so no rough edges, protrusions of gas lines and discharge pipes as before. Something one can take pride in showing off. Installed just one day before a very cold day, proved the new furnace was worth it and hoping worry free for next 24 years.
