Prior to hiring Piero (Pro-Z Contracting) I had investigated several other contractors and was not satisfied - either they did not understand what I wanted, or wanted to significantly change my plans and make my project more complicated/expensive than I wanted it to be. Piero and his team seemed to quickly understand the general concept of what I wanted - to make the main floor of my house open concept, renovate the bathroom, and redesign the kitchen. They were able to improve my own vision with recommendations based on their experience and expertise that made the outcome that much better and still within my budget. They were also very flexible and understanding at times when I needed to change my mind about certain things along the way. What I liked most about Piero was his quick responsiveness to any questions or concerns I had, and his ability and willingness to walk me through the reasons for things. When Piero saw something that was not right (e.g. one of my floor joists had been compromised by a previous owner/renovation), he pointed out the concern to me and corrected it rather than just cover it up. The end result is that I am very happy with my renovation (it looks beautiful) and am very confident that it was built right because I was able to see each step and had all my questions answered along the way.
