waterproofing complete house perimeter
I must say I'm a little disappointed with the 'after-care' we have received from RCC. When we needed to have the house waterproofed, we did what most of us do - look for a reputable company, find them, check for both positive and negative feedback. It looked like RCC was the one for us, having read the website, the explanations & many rave reviews, we decided to call them for a quote and go from there. I was pleased with Rick's explanations of how things would be done, what was involved & included with the job - things like them removing a good portion of our walkway & that in the spring they could come & reinstall it (for a cost of course) but mostly because he had to explain everything to me (my spouse couldn't be there that day) Rick didn't make me feel 'unintelligent' as many sales guys do to women! (kudos to you Rick!!) After everything was said & done, and my spouse called to confirm all the details...we decided to go ahead. RCC came and started the job (I think it was December 2011) but unfortunately one of the service companies seemed to have forgotten or overlooked one little wire!! Needless to say that the excavator found it and managed to damage the stucco on the house! (one 2 foot vertical 'tear' on the side of the house). Work was halted for a bit while the crew assessed the damage & what they needed to do. We were reassured that someone would come & take a look at the stucco and they would have it looked after...turns out the job wasn't so 'cost-effective for the stucco company as he asked if there was any other work he could do to offset the cost of his material (it's unfortunate the quote was a little pricey considering the money we had just put into the house...) we declined the additional work, but were left with the message that this would be fixed in a week or so. - it STILL hasn't been fixed! and we're April 17th, 2012 !! (against my spouse's better judgement I paid the bill !!) I believe it was sometime late February or early March I contacted Rick for a follow-up to the stucco repairs - I needed to explain the situation again and that at the end of the initial job, Bruno reassured us that someone would be coming to fix the stucco but no one had been to the house yet. I was told that Rick would have someone come over again but probably wouldn't be able to fix it during this time of year, most likely when it's nicer - I agreed and asked to be kept posted of the outcome...I haven't heard from Rick since. Now, about a week and a half ago, Chris calls to see if we still wanted them to come and reinstall the interlocking walkway and that they could come the following week. Great! no more mud. The installation took a day, again against my spouse's better judgement I thought that we should pay the bill as the issue about the stucco came up again and once again Bruno reassured us that someone would be over 'tomorrow' - all we found was a business card in the door and no fixed stucco. The only thing we didn't really understand and maybe it was wrong of us to trust what we were told..it why leave the fill-in sand (which has quite a bit of larger pebble type stones) to be washed away from the rain? as we've been told > wouldn't that scratch the interlock ?? just saying. - Don't get me wrong, we were very pleased with the work done & the crew, Bruno, Chris and Rick too. They did great work ....it's the waiting for a resolution to the problem that's getting old quickly. We would probably recommend RCC to friends.(my spouse has since 3 times & it looks like possibly 2 out 3 will be getting some work done)
