Recently we are doing basement finishing project , and need to purchase a lot of stuff and we visited quite often around the three major home improvement stores. I found the Rona actually have quite competitive prices specially during their frequent promotions. This Rona location offers good services and very flexible with late-pickup option, which helped us a lot during the basement construction. The staff is quite helpful if you can find them on the floor though. But they are not as knowledgeable as I hope they are.
The laminate I bought was good price for the quality. The staff at pick up was quite helpful. All the sales people I saw from my 4 trips were all women working there, not as friendly and helpful as I expected ("take it or leave it " kind of attribute). They told me the brand Continental flooring I was looking at was German product, when I got it, the box was poorly packed, couldn"t find where it is made.
