Nirmal, the company owner, came to our house to template and quoted a better price than any if the other 6 companies in Calgary that quoted us. He was very friendly and professional and was the only person recommended to me by the distributor who sells the same shower door as all of the other companies that quoted us. The other quotes all came in at well over $2000, totally outrageous. He was quick and did the job to perfection. Woukd use again & definitely recommend!

We needed island drawer pulls and towel bars for our kitchen/ bathroom renos and each had to match existing hardware in the room. The folks at Banbury design centre have a multitude of options and really lovely looking products. They can also get items custom made if need be. This was the second time we've dealt with them and found really great priducts with fantastic customer service. The first was for our front door hardware and number pad entry lock - love it to this day! Ppl will do business with Banbury again and highly recommend them over the usual big box stores.

Peter came recommended by a friend who also lives in Acadia. From the quote to the finish of the job Peter was great. He gave ys a quick start time and a quick work timeline and stuck to it. His suggestions worked out ie using his system for the vents, dealing with problem areas (an addition to the house that needed hardwood laid & matched to existing where the joices are 3/4" higher than original floor). We also discussed a new oil-rubbed finish that some people are doing and since it allows the floor to become absorbant to oils, dirt and has no sheen or hard coat protection we went with a stain and water based super hard sealant. Peter has been in the business for a long time and has worked with builders, restaurants, and home owners. I recommend Peter to anyone!

Trevor was recommended by a friend and did 99% of the painting in our home. He fit us in to his schedule, he cleaned up after himself, his quote was reasonable and the finished work is superb. He did weird & difficult jobs like our 1960's wood closet doors, our ugly oak bannister to a crisp white that now ties in with the trim around the house. I highly recommend Trevor for professional quality painting.

Victor Arredondo inspected our roof, which was Gail damaged and provided a new roof with 4 new vents and someting a week later. We had a 2 day old newborn and he hired enough people to complete the roof within the same day. We hadn't even told him about our newborn, he was super quick to get us lined up with a new roof in one week and had the work completed in 1 day. The roof looks great now, it's to forDE, he explained all the options to us and had was very professional to deal with. We would highly recommend Victor to our friends and family for roofing matters! Tim came in and gave a very reasonable quote for reviving our original claw foot tub and kitchen countertops. They came in and cleaned up the space once finished, calked the tub and tiles finishing the work and both the tub and countertops look brilliant. We'll be contracting CalgaryCountertops back for our other spaces, thank you Tim & crew for updating our kitchen & bathroom!

I ordered these chairs in the middle of November, they're lovely looking but cheaply made - they fit my small budget. The sales guy was really nice, I picked them up in the beginning of December they were relatively easy to put together. A little finicky but I got them not to wobble in the end. One chair came with no stretcher bars. They'd split the package in the warehouse and didn't put all of the parts back in the box they gave me. Then 4 cushions were completely flat, it felt like you were falling through the chairs. It took 1.5 months to get the stretcher bars in and the cushions. Then a 2 week wait for the installation date, then no one came. Apparently he'd closed the order by accident. When he came a week later he only had 1 cushion with him. The next time he came he had everything except for the stretcher bars they ordered were for the wide 2 person bench, not the chair. Now it's February 10, 3 months after ordering these chairs and we still are missing 1. My husbands 45th birthday is on the 21st and I've asked them to just give me a chair from the showroom, anything. It's not like we can just wheel a computer chair up to a counter height dining room chair! Fatel, this guy on the customer service line says they have to order the bar in from China and it'll take more time. I ask to speak to his supervisor, he refused to pass the phone stating that everything he's told me is correct. I'm now dealing with the store manager, awaiting his call back. I do not recommend buying furniture from Ashleys. The tables are all laminate tops so when you get 1 scratch in them they're done. We had ours custom made by a local artist for the same price Ashely wanted. It's solid hardwood so we can sand & restain at any time. The chairs & benches are unfortunate, we wanted backs to them as this is counter height and it was hard to find cushioned chairs with backs at that height. But we're tall and wanted counter height, and LOVE the look. Completely changes the attitude of the room from small child like dining room to adult space (where kids can still be). Only regrets are spending money at Ashely. What a nightmare, customer service rep Fatel was ta typical male know-it-all.

Margaret squeezed us into an appointment before we left for holidays and had gorgeous custom made panels for our large living room, 12 foot kitchen 4 panel window, and dining room made up. We had specific priorities which she dealt with for each window: living and dining room top down/bottom up for privacy from the street yet visual access to light and trees from above, an individually controlled 4 panel blind on 1 reel for the kitchen for when we want to open only specific doors while having privacy and blocking the sun with the others. And the rates are really fanatastic with their company. They are Calgary local based. The installation occured while we were out of town and we were very please to come home to a house with gorgeous new window coverings. Thank you Margaret & team!

We asked Mike to quote and do some drywall work in our house after getting a new front door and kitchen door, removing an in-wall 60's medicine cabinet from the bathroom wall and knocking down a wall with ceiling repair. Mike had lots of options for the ceiling repair, he was very professional and cleaned up his mess, and did a perfect job on all of the work. He was reasonably priced and very quick to finish. If we ever need drywalling done again in this 60's house (which is very likely), we'll definitely go to him first! Thanks Mike!!

I rescued some nice chunky wood furniture from someone's back alley garbage. All that needed to be done was sand & stain the wood and make new upholstery. They had a fair amount of variety however I would like to see a little more stock. Not bad but fairly pricey, I guess that's how it goes!

1-800-GOT-JUNK provided us with a fast quote and got their guys to our rental property the next day to remove junk that renters had left when they moved. They were quick, inexpensive and we were really happy with how clean the back alley area looked when they were finished.

We just got brand new windows and Mars Blinds were the first out of 6 companies to get back to our emailed request for a quote, they were the best price and they were fast at installing too. We were unsure of how to dress this window to also get privacy and have a clean look and they were able to advise on a solution that my husband and I both agreed on. They did a great job, no fuss, no waiting.

Yuri came out to quote, we went with him...his reviews are fantastic, the photos of his work look great and his prices are even better. After his brother in law installed everything we're really in awe of how great the windows look. Not only do they have a reflecting quality giving us privacy during the day from the neighbours, but the sound proofing is amazing and there's no cold draft anywhere near the windows now. They explained when they left that it's a lifetime guarantee, very reassuring. The guys were professional, very happy customers here.

Bruno has a small team of extremely talented guys. They do ALL sorts and do it very well. We've had them in to frame furnace doors to meet new bylaw codes, insulate leaky doors, install washer/dryers, renovate heating, install bathroom fans. Bruno is quick, clean, decently priced and always does a fantastic job. We'll never go to another contractor, Bruno's an A+ with the BBB with no complaints. He's one of Calgary's best.

The furnace broke down and Arpies was very quick to respond and fix the problem. They are also the place to buy parts from when you need a new fan for the furnace etc. Good, reliable guys, decent prices.
