I moved from a house to an apartment. The three fellows were efficient, organized and very professional. They calmly worked with a very small and slow elevator, treated my furniture with great care, put up with road works on the street where we arrived and did the move on the hottest day of the year, without complaint. I thought they were absolutely terrific. Also, the planning was professional with a detailed quote. No surprises there. I had dreaded this move but it went very well because of the movers.

Do not use this company. They refused to give me even a ballpark quote then, when they showed up, said it would cost $280 (saying it was a flat rate, even though they'd previously said they couldn't give a quote) to even tell me what part my dishwasher required (an additional $50 - $150 - they said they couldn't say how much). Then, re microwave: they wouldn't tell me how much part would cost and demanded service fee before I had basic information necessary for me to decide whether to get the work done. Complete lack of transparency. Paid the $90 to cut my losses and stop harrassment.

Sal and his co-workers have helped me with several projects in Riverdale: Building a complicated, strong retaining wall that was impeded by tree roots; Designing, planting and maintaining a brand new garden. (Starting from scratch). Rebuilding a front porch. In every case, the work was done very well indeed. The design was based on what I wanted but was done with knowledge and flair. The carrying out of the plan was, for each project, done in a timely fashion with expertise and flair. The costing has always been fair and the personnel carrying out the work have always been a pleasure to have around. I would rate this organization 10/10 on all fronts.
