On an island in Georgian Bay my windows are critical to comfort (cross breezes on hot days) and to happiness (great views of loons, herons, turtles etc) and to cats who transit thru windows 50 times a day (not an exaggeration). One window had broken and VB sent me the parts quickly at no cost. I couldn't figure out how to replace the parts. Finally called VB and talked to Rebecca. To my astonishment, for $200, they sent a technician all the way here - 2 to 2.5 hour drive one way. He arrived on time and replaced the parts, replaced worn parts on more windows, and applied silicone spray lube - who knew windows need lube - they are now super slidey. Yup - we now play with them - video to come.

I was incredibly impressed with the team’s communication: very prompt, clear and concise. Very committed to providing explanations and helping me understand the roofing system and materials involved which helped me make the right decision. They let me ask as many questions as I needed to get clarity and insight. They also provided a wonderfully detailed quote with drawings and explanations. They also provided samples of all of the materials that were going to be used and explained the purpose and functionality. Very helpful. They coordinated the installation really well with good communication. Also the price was $5,000 less than the second roofer that had been recommended to me by my contractor brother-in-law and Chouinard used better materials! Good clean-up and quick installation that went according to plan! The replaced the roof on house (including porch, bay roof and low-angle and garage roof)

Jeff and Matt are reliable, capable, cost-effective and absolutely trustworthy. They were very open to discussing changes to the original plan and my need to think out aloud. It is important to point out they are very very patient men and that it was appreciated by me and my partner. They explained why the changes I was contemplating would cost more and accommodated the extra time and effort required. They were also good about tweaking a tiles or paint cuts when asked. In several instances, their creativity produced results that were better than my original ideas. They worked long hours and the occasional weekend to keep us on schedule with the job creep that I initiated. My partner and I both work at home and as a result, essentially lived with Jeff and Matt for months. They are easy going, fun to have around and were outstanding with my two cats.
