I wanted to hire someone to add insulation to the crawlspace under my sunroom, but Konstantin was honest and told me it would have cost way too much and not be worth the money for a small job like this. He then gave me tips on how to do it and what materials I'd need. Very nice of him considering how many dishonest contractors I've dealt with.

First of all - I'm happy that my new furnace works well and I appreciate the work that the workmen did. While they were at it, they also installed two extra vents in my basement. A lot of labour goes into installing a high-efficiency furnace and I understand some things could have been missed. There was some miscommunication as to the extent of the work - in order to install the intake/exhaust pipes and lead them outside the house, the crew cut out a vent-sized hole in my basement washroom ceiling. I was under the impression that would be patched up, apparently HVAC companies don't patch these up. They also forgot to add screens to the intake/exhaust pipes and they made the exhaust point straight-ahead at my neighbour's basement window. My neighbour pointed it out and mentioned he faced a similar issue back when he was installing his furnace. After some email back-and-forth the pipe was turned to the side and a screen was installed on the exhaust pipe. Athir was kind enough to follow-up and make sure everything was in order. He explained that normally they don't recommend a screen on the intake pipe as it might cause a blockage in winter. We agreed that miscommunication happens and I appreciate him following up.

Forgot to leave a review after the job was completed, so I'll write one now. I chose this company because Steve gave me the best quote. Very happy I did because Steve's experience was invaluable in fixing a crack in the brick wall on the side of my almost 100-year-old home. In addition, they replaced some bricks and two window sills (brick ones replaced with limestone). They were also kind enough to seal the gap between the wall and foundation. It's been almost a year and one harsh winter later everything looks solid. Very professional and courteous - showed up on time, finished in a day, had a nice chat about the life of a stone mason in Toronto. Very happy overall, would definitely hire Steve again.

I bought a fancy new Ecobee thermostat from Amazon and needed someone to install it and clean the furnace as well - Heating Cooling Co. responded and gave me the best quote - not to mention that another contractor wouldn't take the job because they only installed Ecobees purchased at Bestbuy, weird. Athir showed up on time, assessed the situation and went to work. The house is really old so he had to deal with the wiring to make the thermostat work. After a few attempts it all clicked and Ecobee was online. Until I decided to test the heating function. The furnace kept shutting off taking the thermostat with it, which made it continuously reboot. Something was definitely wrong, so Athir attempted to toubleshoot and he had a general idea what the issue was. He wasn't able to fix it then, so he promised to come another day, or find another technician. He came back a few days later and determined that the air circulation was not working properly so the furnace was overheating. The solution was to increase the air flow by boosting the power. Everything works great now. All in all, I'm really happy with the service and the troubleshooting ability. Will definitely call again in the spring when it's time to turn on the AC.
