*****Edited to add: Since my last review, the company contacted me to rectify the situation promptly. They did their best to meet my satisfaction and I’m happy about the outcome. I just wish it was done without going through a HomeStars review. Having said that, I’ll still buy from Decor-rest in the future for its overall quality and supporting a Canadian company. I have to say that everyone who came over to my place complimented how much they love our sectional. Buyers beware!! I did ton of research and came across Decor-rest. We love our sectional from them but they won’t help you if you have any problems. We received our sectional before Christmas last year and 3 months in, we noticed a little cut on the leather out of nowhere. It’s on the bottom of the piping of the arm rest(RHF chair #3922). So I contacted the company then they re-directed me to the dealer who I purchased from and their answer? There’s nothing they could do and it doesn’t fall under the manufacturer’s warranty. I wracked my brain trying to figure out how this cut was caused then I had further inspection with a flash light and I saw there were three more fine scratches/cuts along the same piping. These cuts are consistent and one of them is pretty tucked in which absolutely supports the fact that it wasn’t caused by us. Since discovering the other cuts, I strongly believe the damage was caused by the manufacture while being made or in transportation and maybe it got rubbed making the cut bigger? These scratches are hardly noticeable hence we didn’t spot them when we first received the sectional. Upon receiving the sectional, we noticed 1) 2 out of 4 seat cushions’s stitching don’t line up with the ones on the back cushions and the frame. Maybe whoever made it wasn’t really paying attention and aren’t detail-oriented. 2) the seat cushions are not level as you can see in the photo I attached. They keep bunching up together when even not used so I have to keep pulling them up and down to make them look more tidy and sleek. 3) The connector of one frame(armless chair #3908) wasn’t lined up to the love seat properly, so the delivery guys had to adjust it and because of that the frame/legs don’t line up perfectly. Even though we weren’t happy with above things, we didn’t complain because we can live with it. But we had to claim the issue regarding the leather and they weren’t willing to help out and offer any resolutions for us except letting us know that we have to repair it on our own. We just think it would be very painful to pay for something that wasn’t caused by us. We spent nearly $7000 on this and are extremely disappointed with the lack/level of customer service.
