Gary was recommended by another insulation contractor and he was easy to reach for his service. Price quote was reasonable enough even though we started planning to hire him for our undeveloped basement insulation (price quote was good as well). Service time was booked smoothly. Questions prior to the service have been answered promptly. Contractor showed up on time. And our problems started... First of all, we actually should NOT be home and house MUST BE NOT occupied during the foam insulation spray because it's very toxic stuff (contractor used special high graded mask and coveralls), NOBODY told us that!!! We all got light exposure side effects after the guys finished their work. Second one is a significant amount of foam was left on the studs and our drywall contractor charged us for properly removing and cleaning after those guys. Gary does NOT stand behind his completed work and please BE AWARE!!!

Company Response

Yerbatyr you contacted Prima Foam after the job was done with a concern that your child was exposed to the spray foam as he was experiencing light side effects. The team arrived as scheduled and upon arrival observed that you were there with your 2 children. Yerbatyr you asked if you can be in the home while the spray foam was being applied. The crew member you ask specifically said no.

The above concern was address on the Friday night after working hours, I took this phone call seriously and did my further investigation. To conclude the above, I advised that light exposure passes and that there was definitely a miscommunication from both my staff member and yourself.

The following Monday you reached out regarding studs that were not scraped and ready for drywall. I took this to the team and there was a clear conversation. The sloped roof was in a bonus room where at about 3 feet up the wall it is framed out and this indeed was cleaned and ready for drywall.

The storage cubby below with a door, The lead spray foamer on site arrival walk through asked you very specifically if that area was to be dry walled. The understanding was that it will not. Then we proceeded to say we would the 'wrap' the studs to create a thermal bridge to enhance the Rvalue.

Prima Foam does take customer service and pride of work seriously

We thank you for your review and will use this as a learning tool

The company was recommended by our windows contractor. Appointment setup was smoothly, we were nice treated by Jody in their office with some samples presentation, even she allowed us to take a look at the finished door in their paint shop - it was quite important for us to see their finished job. We got our new door installed, it looks gorgeous. Great job! Will definitely recommend this company.

My initial position is that this is a fully competent Company, with a professional installation crew and a superior product to install. There were problems however: cleanup was not done properly - few cuts from the window cladding on the grass (see pictures) and probably more cuts will be found hopefully not in my kids feet (sounds scary, right?); few screws on my driveway again hopefully not in my car tires (recently got new expensive set from Costco). When I asked about for a more complete cleanup nobody showed up. I can definitely correct my review if the work including cleanup, would be finished properly. Peter/John, please come over for the cleanup! My major concern is the installation of a remaining part of the project - the patio door, it was backoredered and not available for installation until several weeks after the bulk of the project was completed. However, the old patio door was removed and put back again (see pictures) as one of the first steps in the project. The eventual installation of the door was not completed for several weeks as I was out of town for work and had initially scheduled the work to be done when I would be at home and available to ensure work had been done to my Customer requirements. I'll keep hounding the Contractor. It seems this was their human error and they should not have taken my old door out prior to having the new one ready to be installed. The project has become quite unpleasant and unsatisfactory on both sides.

Hired them to change asphalt shingles on my house roof. Was wondering about a finished time cause snow forecasted next day, but overall they did a great job, no complains so far, except did not do a cleanup after work, called them to do it, left messages - no reply.
