Many problems with this builder and the quality of his work: -Didn't meet code on issues that are easy to do right the first time like radon mitigation and flashing that delayed the project and wasted money trying to get an engineering consultant to say it was OK. He wouldn't. -Installed the manufactured wood trim so the back side was exposed (photo), voiding the manufacturers warranty. Offered to paint, but refused to install it properly. The whole point of the manufactured wood trim was to avoid painting for 15 years as per the warranty. -All outside doors were supposed to be 36 inches wide for potential future wheelchair use as discussed with builder. Only front door is 36 inches wide. The rest are 30-31 inches. -Installed a window in a door opening (photo) that was tossed in the garbage. Was replaced with a door but the door threshold frosts up inside the house in winter (I paid for both the window and the door). Offered to strip out the manufacturers threshold and put in an aluminum threshold using off the shelf parts - also aluminum. I didn't trust him to fix this issue as there was no credible plan. -cabinet installation - warped doors, orange-peel finish, saw tear-out and sanding gouges, lazy susans rub on cabinets, cabinets have felt marker on exposed surfaces (e.g., "left side" , "bottom"), facing attached with only two-sided tape in some cases, etc. Periodically promised to fix them for a year and a half when I gave up. Never fixed anything. It's been 2 years now and getting them replaced by someone else. -HRV installed with the exhaust 3 ft from the intake (manufacturer says minimum 10 ft) and blowing directly at the intake. HRV ducting was supposed to be at least 7 inch diameter, installed 6 inch ducting. Eventually fixed it as it was a code issue but took 2 tries and ducting is convoluted as a result. -multiple month+ long delays in construction. Tried to get fixes through the New Home Warranty, but those guys have lots of excuses for avoiding any major fixes. Like the trim has to fail before it is warranted even though the manufacturer says it wasn't installed correctly and has no manufacturer warranty as a result. There were many other issues. I always paid invoices immediately. I do not recommend this guy.

Chris didn't do my windows, but he did do painting and woodwork finishing. We were impressed with the quality of his work and the attention to detail. Very careful work and good advice on paint options and finishing. Amazing clear finishes on wooden doors and trim. Paint edging was laser straight. He clearly does live and work in Calgary by the way and takes a lot of pride in his work. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Had 2 large garage doors installed, complete with motors and controls. They had a very large selection of designs and full flexibility in adding windows, etc. Ordered a custom design and they provided an honest estimate of the time for delivery and did the install with no drama or issues. They provided good advice on options - pros and cons - to help me make decisions on what I wanted. Very professional and they do good work. Very pleased with the doors and the install.
