So, we just went to get our filters changed at the 1-year mark and took in a sample of water to the store and they told us that our water is reading poorly. So my kids and I have been drinking water that hasn't been filtered for a full year. Good news is that the company was SO FAST in getting this all fixed up once they found out they had made an error. You know, human error does happen from time to time and it is how the company fixes the error that says it all. Thanks, guys...

I was initially very worried as I read some bad reviews about Kore Onsite in Edmonton on Homestars, but these guys were great. Chuck, Chris W, Jaden and Garry came and delivered our heavy concrete table -- very carefully with both product and in our home. They were also early! We were very pleased.

We purchased slightly scratched, new Kenmore and Frigidaire appliances from these guys. They sell new (but slightly cosmetically worn) and refurbished appliances at discounted prices. Our fridge had a small dent in it that wouldn't really be seen and there were scratches on the silver part of the range. We had issues with our Kenmore range this year (convection oven was broken) and they sent a repair guy out the next week to fix it as the appliances are under a 1 year warranty through them. Great service was proviced for the repairs and we are very happy with them!

Rick did a great job for a home inspection of a house that we were purchasing. He was very thorough and spent over 4 hours on the inspection, which was well documented on the report he provided us. Although we were not present for the inspection (our Real Estate Agent was there), we were very happy with the telephone conversation we had after with him and the PDF document that was comprehensive enough to cause us to require the seller to make changes to the house before we would agree to the purchase. We would definitely recommend Rick to anyone in Calgary who requires a home inspection. Thanks, Rick!!!

We used these guys to install a Honeywell security system for us. Their quote was pretty competitive to what we had gotten from other service providers. Service was prompt. The manhour cost for installation seemed a bit high (5 hour minimum at $90 per hour!!!!) but the technician had to do some extra work for us after we weren't satisfied with the technical details of the system (the sound of the alarm wasn't loud enough) so we got our money's worth as he did spend a lot of time in installation.

Dan at Cable Smart was recommended to us by a Shaw instalation guy to us as a budget-friendly option if you are looking for home automation services (entertainment systems, structured wiring)

We used Polwood Construction to redo our basement. We had them remove a built-in desk, put in two insulated walls and add crown moulding, as well as redo the electrical. They were super, super fast and had excellent workmanship. We were more than pleased with Wally and his team!!!

We used Alpine to finish a fence around our property. The builder of our house only had completed 2 sides of the backyard, and we needed one length finished. These guys came in with a competitive estimate so we gave them a shot, and we were not disappointed. EXCELLENT workmanship -- the part they completed (55 feet) looked better than the initial fence. They matched the existing fence exactly, both with style and stain colour. The job was done quickly as well...we couldn't be more pleased!!! And, as another reviewer has said, they are a good looking crew! :)

We had a great experience with United Van Lines, Campbell Brothers affiliation. They moved is across country and were so careful with our household goods, both in the packing and unpacking of the van. Randy was our mover and he was amazing. 30 plus years in the business, and you could see why. Very trustworthy, careful and kept us posted throughout the move...even as he was on the road. Definitely recommend these guys!!

Allure provided fast, efficient service, both in quoting the project and installing the shutters once we had chosen them as a supplier. Initially, their installers had measured our kitchen window without putting in tolerance for a small lip in the window pane so the shutters installed in the kitchen were a bit off. They promptly rectified the situation in a matter of a week's time, with new parts and installation. Our house looks so much more modern with the new shutters! Thanks, Allure!

Oaken provided fast, efficient, excellent service in the wiring and installation of two outdoor motion detector lights for security purposes. We were very pleased with this family-run business and have used them again to do the wiring and installation of a light fixture in the interior.

Mark offered a no-obligation quotation in our home and was, by far, the best price from the vendors who quoted. He seemed very honest and trustworthy (and I do not trust easily!!!). Victorious also scheduled to install our carpeting very quickly -- we had everything done in just over a week after the initial quotation! The job was done very well (the carpet is both high quality and looks fantastic!). We received a follow up call a few days later to make sure all was done OK!
