Multicity Moving No Longer In Business

I would like to say thank you to Multicity and all the ladies in the office who helped me out, especially my representative Nicole. You are awesome girl! I planned my move about a month in advance and had my things picked up August 28th from Victoria, BC. The guys were great here and were cautious with my things which I am grateful for. I am an art collector so believe you me Nicole knew how paranoid I was about my art pieces. I used their storage for about two weeks, just to find a place here and after I did find one in Burlington I called them and they scheduled me in for a next day delivery. Very quick process and they are on the ball in that office. Everything arrived in the same condition and my paintings were fine (THANK GOODNESS). Oh and I had carpets in my new place upstairs and the guys laid out some plastic cover things to make sure my beautiful carpets didn’t get ruined. Very organized and super friendly staff including the crew for my delivery. Thank boys enjoy that tip ;) If I move again I am calling you guy’s wahooo! Thank you Dorthy-ann

I was at first apprehensive about trusting a moving company with my valuable belongings since i'm a professional business man. I'd go with this company anytime and will request this to anyone even my own mother who is 89 years old they were so cooperative and gracious I was happy with the both the movers and the girl who helped assure me that there would be little to no complications at all if I recall correctly her name was Nicole and they had a mover named Reza he was a hoot very friendly guy. I felt that the service and pricing was affordable considering I had been quoted by another company for $5100 for my move from Delta BC to Owen Sound, Ontario and the final cost was roughly $4200 which I estimated as $4500 and I even saved money. To sum it all up I'm exceptionally grateful that my goods weren't damaged as I'm a worrier and they wrapped my valuables and not even a scratch was found on anything I couldn't be more of a Satisfied customer if you're reading this and looking between two companies atm chose Multicity Moving Company from Nicole to Reza you'll be just as satisfied as I have been. This company should be put out of business They are fantastic when reeling you in.I had a move booked Aug 27 from N.B. to Ontario 27 came no movers phoned, there reply was, yes we will get back to you.I had to be out of my place by the 29 of the month.Finally on the 29 late afternoon I was told the truck is in for repair,They haven't to this day, Sept 19 been to my place,called back when I left a message or refunded my deposit.I had to run around & find another mover just before the end of the month(How hard is that!) with university students also moving.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.I am going to take them to small claims
court even if I lose money.

We hired Multicity Company to move our belongings from Mississauga to Edmonton last month. The movers worked very hard and careful and everything was done in short ten business days. They are affordable if you are on a budget, although the weight was more than the estimated weight and we got some broken glass but that was minor damages comparing to their affordable price and organized movers. Nicole the supervisor was very nice and professional; I recommend this company and thanking them with this review.

I chose Multicity Moving for my move from Montreal to Toronto based on a friend's suggestion who had also used them to move from Montreal to Guelph. My friend had actually contacted another moving company which outsourced the move to Multicity Moving, so they suggested I contact them directly and get a better deal. Indeed, I emailed them for an estimate on June 13th and one of their representatives, Nicole was diligent enough to get back to me on the same day. I emailed a few other companies as well but Multicity Moving had the best quote and after talking on the phone with Nicole who helped me plan my move, I decided to go with them. I was also stressed because I was already in Toronto when the movers would pick up my furniture in Montreal. But Nicole was very helpful, and later on the same day, after I paid a deposit, she sent me a confirmation for pick-up on June 16th and delivery on the same or the next day. Everything went smoothly and Nicole kept in touch with me throughout the move to coordinate the pick up and drop off time. She also provided me with the actual driver's phone number to schedule a good time for drop off which took place during rush hour in downtown Toronto on June 17. Nicole and everyone I talked to, when she was not there, was very happy to assist me. Also the staff who actually carried my furniture were pleasant and helpful - I talked to Steve who was one of the movers and who made sure they take good care of my belongings while moving in and out of the truck. They wrapped up my glass tables and everything was in good condition, nothing was broken apart from a lamp which was semi-broken from before. Overall, I am very satisfied with Multicity Moving and would definitely recommend it to friends and family! Nothing like those horror stories written here! Again, thank you Nicole, Steve and everyone in Multicity Moving! You made my long-distance move fast, affordable and much less stressful!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have had many issues with Mulitcity Movers and it is extremely difficult to get ahold of anybody to get things resolved. Emails go unreturned and when I call the person who can help me is always "in a meeting".
I moved from Hamilton, Ontario to Calgary, Alberta and needed some assistance having items shipped across country. The original quotes for fees were reasonable and I was told that delivery would take 7-10 days. Based on the weight of my items (some small furniture, a few boxes, and a motorcycle), and using the template they gave me, I estimated cost to be no more than $1300. They advised me that my items weighed in at over 3000 lbs, which is completely impossible, and they added extra fees, bringing my charges to over $2100. When I am able to speak to anyone, they do not give me a reasonable explanation, and had they re-weighed my load, there would have been an additional charge of $300.
The order was confirmed and the pick up was May 12th so i was expecting delivery on or before May 22nd. That date came and passed, and after multiple unanswered emails, I finally got someone on the phone at the beginning of June and they told me it would arrive the following week. On June 12th I got a call and they said it would arrive on the 13th, so I took time off of work specifically to receive my delivery. In the afternoon on the 13th they called back and cancelled with no new estimated delivery date. It finally arrived on the 16th and almost every peice of furniture had dents and scratches in it. I had put my motorcycle on a stand so that it would be transported safely and the stand arrived, but there was no motorcycle.! When I contacted them about the missing bike, they told me that it had been put on a different truck for safety purposes, so that it wasn't damaged. Weeks went by and when it still hadn't arrived, I contacted them again and they told me that it had actually been forgotten, and not loaded at all. It was finally picked up on July 4th and additional fees were added for the seperate delivery, which is not my fault but they now refuse to waive. It is July 17th and I STILL do not have my motorcycle. When I contacted them last, they said that it has been sitting somewhere in Edmonton since July 7th, but they do not have any trucks coming to Calgary any time soon. The woman on the phone actually suggested that I should go out to Edmonton to pick it up! Based on the condition of my furniture when it arrived, I am terrified to see what my motorcycle looks like.
They have incredibly poor service, outrageous delays on delivery, and I have been unable to speak to anybody about having all my additional, unwarranted fees refunded. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

Do not use this company please!!! We never received a lot of our items. They tried to tell us that we had 500lbs more than we really did. All our furniture is destryoed and good luck getting a hold of anyone there after they throw your belonging on the ground and leave. Stay Clear!!!!

Pick up of product in Calgary AB.to go to London ON. From start to finish - professional, curteous, friendly, efficient. Cannot say enough things about the excellent customer service I received. Nicole in Head office, very aware of people and their feelings, always made me feel welcome. She is very astute and aware of people. Made me feel that I was very important customer and she is extremely patient. I would not hesitate to use Multicity moving again if required. There should be more people in the world as you have at Multicity, everyone I dealt with I send a BIG THANK YOU.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. They are your MOVERS from HELL. 1st: They did not deliver all my stuff. I had a baby grand piano and they lost the Lyre/pedals. They couldn't find it anywhere in the truck.
2. They scratched the whole right side of the piano, because they put it on a very rough dolly throughout the ride and probably fell a few times. When they brought the piano (unannounced, just knocked on my door) to my house, the piano slid on the dolly, onto the ground a few times.
3. They were supposed to deliver my sisters chest from Toronto.to New Jersey (on the way to Florida). They didn't call in advance, they just knocked on my sister's door and they weren't there, so the movers are arguing with me that they were there and my sister weren't, therefor they did there job.
4. They told us an estimated price to only find out later (at the delivery sight), our weight was over with no proof. There answer to that was, do you want us to unload or not?
5. I spoke to a person by the name of Steve who authorized a 3rd drop off for no extra cost, only to find out later that he did not have the authorization to give me such wave,
6. Arguments after arguments. I never had a pleasant conversation after I paid.
7. They had several households in the truck. When they arrived to my house, the driver kept on asking me if this item was mine, or this item was mine, because there were no marks on each item separating the belongings to.
The driver, who was also the mover was a nice guy, but always kept whining that he is 43 years old and he usually doesn't do the moving. The other person name was Abdul. Lazy as hell and couldn't be any dumber.

In the beginning, they kept on saying that they are under new managements and not to look at all the bad reviews. That is not the truth.
a Very BAD company.

We booked Multicity for our relocation from NYC to Toronto on Dec 21st, 2013. Our booking was confirmed and security deposit was charged. Their dispatcher called us the night before the move to say he won't be able to move us. Due to the short notice, we were unable to find alternative movers, so we booked a U-Haul and drove the truck. We lost over $200 when we canceled our flights in order to drive the truck. Now Multicity is refusing to even return our security deposit!
