VS Deck And Rail

Had Marikos and crew install a beautiful vinyl deck for me. Wonderful to work with, great attention to detail and all aspects of the project went smoothly.

VS staff attended when scheduled, were completely professional in their attitudes, skills, attention to detail, and co-operation in resolving client concerns. This was a complex project involving removal of existing structure, creation of a new roof including large custom skylights, and remediation of several longstanding problem areas including chronic, severe weather ingress. The 16-year old vinyl on our little deck was badly stained and beginning to crack and needed replacing. During the site visit, Paul explained to us clearly what materials and methods would be used and gave us a very detailed and affordable quote. We were able to choose from a wide variety of Duradek vinyl colours and textures. Marikos did a thorough job of removing the railings, stripping off the old vinyl then properly prepping the plywood and installing the new vinyl. The new black-coloured perimeter flashing is bonded to the vinyl and now matches our railings. It looks much better than the old vinyl which was just clipped to the underlying old flashing. The job site was left clean and tidy which we very much appreciated. Even though it was quite a small job, we felt the work was done with a lot of care and attention to detail and would highly recommend VS Deck and Rail.

Our 2nd level deck was leacking, sagging, and full of rotten wood. It's was torn apart, rebuilt and modified for a longer life. This included composite materials, additional water proofing against the house, reinforced joists and support beams. This was a major restoration. In the end the deck is extraordinarily straight and angled perfectly. The new railing matches the angles of the house and literally looks perfect. Neighbour's have stopped by to ask questions and admire the work... house value is increased and I never have to worry about this deck again!
