We used Northern Origins Construction to help us complete some backyard renovations. James was very professional, knowledgeable, honest and willing to work hard. He took the time before the project to review our landscape design with us and discuss a timeline. We really appreciated James constant communication throughout the project. We have found this a rarity with other companies we have used. Often projects have unexpected problems that arise and James was great at brainstorming multiple options and price points to help us attain our goals. He stuck to his timeline and we are very happy with the outcome. We would definitely recommend Northern Origins and plan to use them again.

James has worked on an elaborate Japanese garden design. His work has been meticulous in the creation of a koi pond with decking, a raised garden bed and arbor. I would highly recommend Northern Origins.

James was great to work with from beginning to end. Friendly, reliable and very knowledgable. He installed closets for us in some very challenging spaces (uneven walls/floors) and was able to make them look amazing. We hired northern origins construction for a complete remodel of the basement kitchen, cabinetry, appliances, sink, etc.

James was awesome with his professionalism. Always on time in the morning. He even worked with our schedules of eating lunch and stuff around his work. Very friendly of course. My parents still ask about him if he's doing alright. He even went to the store with us and helped us narrow down which kitchen to buy and didn't even charge for his time. Really appreciated that as we were sooooo lost where to even start.

His work was very detailed. You can really tell he's passionate about woodworking especially. He worked on our kitchen as if it's his own house Reno. He won't cut corners even if you ask him to do something for cheaper, he would advise us, " yeah the material might be cheaper, but it'll bite you in behind .. later in years" .. so we really appreciated that.

Price was very reasonable too. He gave us the option of hourly rate or a lump sum amount, whatever is more convenient/ cheaper.

We have recommended him to our other friends to take on his services.

Northern Origins Construction did a superb job. The estimate's for the different jobs were very accurate and affordable. The time frame from start to completion was also realistic. The owner attended every day and cleaned up his workspace regularly so we could live comfortably through the 2 renovations. The owner was very reliable and responsible. I plan to hire Northern Origins Construction in the future for further bathroom and laundry room renovations. Rock fireplace, wood accent walls, create spare room in basement.

James installed plumbing for my basement washing machine, moving it from the basement washroom to the outside of the basement. He installed the hot/cold water pipes as well as pipes for the grey water. Took less than a day. He was there on time, professional and cleaned up after.
