A Plus Fencing

I hired Dave and Gabe to stain my decks. We came to an agreement that they would do it at an hourly rate. Dave started off nice, but is very bad at scheduling. I tried confirming our appointment with him the day before and he didn't respond. It wasn't until 10 am the day of that I saw him at my door and I was just happy he showed up to be honest, I had lost faith at that point. His associate only showed up a few hours later.

Dave assured me that it could all be done in one day, so I was shocked when he called it a day at 4 pm and we were nowhere near done. He didn't communicate how long he was going to need and you can tell he was dragging his feet. I'm not sure if he had over done this before.

I offered him and Gabe a 50% bonus if they finished the job on the second day because I could tell that he was going to continue dragging his feet.

When I started to see them actually start with the stain, I REGRETTED MY DECISION. They were incredibly lazy and didn't move my brand new furniture or light fixtures. They got stain all over my light fixutres and permanently ruined the brand new smart lights that I bought for my backyard. They got stain on my brand new door as well. I asked them to remove screws and string that were in the fence they were staining THREE TIMES and they didn't, they just painted over it.

In the end, they missed so many spots that were very obvious, permanently damaged my hard work to build this deck, and had drips of stain all over the place. I could have hired highschool kids to do a better job.

I asked Dave to come back and fix the work. He said he would do it but didn't respond to me for weeks. In the end he said that he wasn't going to do it. It's a shame since he shouldn't be proud of the work I got in exchange for the good money I paid. The sad part is that it would probably only take him 2 hours to fix what he did.

I am extremely dissapointed and wish I could have had a better story to tell about A-Plus Fencing.
