I was initially very happy with the service from this company. They were very good before and during the booking process, always answered questions in a timely manner and the movers showed up on time the day of the move and the price I was quoted was reasonable.
Since then, I have been very frustrated with the terrible service I've received. The move went fairly well, although there were some issues. One of the movers was wearing open toe, slip on sandals which is very unsafe. Even though we had 3 movers and we had already moved several items and boxes to our new home prior to moving day, it still took about 8 hours to move the rest our things from a 1000 square foot 3-bedroom semi. The drive was only about 15 minutes. The movers were v-e-r-y s-l-o-w, almost like they were trying to stretch out the time to increase the cost. When we got to our new home, I saw one of the movers sitting playing my son's guitar. He quickly stopped when he saw me. I was not happy with this since we paid for each additional hour.
I was also told that clothing racks would be provided. On the day of the move, the movers informed me that I had to request these prior to the move, which was not communicated to me beforehand. Luckily, I had a few extra boxes that I was able to use.
Since things were taking so long, we ended up re-assembling our furniture ourselves the next day. That's when we noticed that my daughter's desk leg was broken. The movers also broke the original, hand-carved music sheet stand on our piano. I emailed the company to let them know and ask for a refund which they agreed to provide. We moved on November 5th and it is now March 1st and I have yet to receive a refund, as promised and they have been ignoring my calls and messages for weeks.
I will never use this company again.
