We completed a major deck build with Ata and his team at Blue Pine Construction. They were a delight to deal with from the quote phase to producing renderings of what the deck could look like based on our ideas. The rendering really gave us a clear idea of the potential of what it could look like and made them stand-out from other contractors who quoted.
Ata was great to deal with and listened at all times to what we wanted even though we made some changes as we went along.
The job involved the demolition of the existing deck (approx. 300 sq.ft), the excavation of the ground to make space for the lower deck, the drilling and pouring of 16 concrete posts, the construction of the new frame, the decking of the upper and lower decks, fencing and even a dog pen. Also there was extensive landscaping required. The result is a huge 600 sq.ft deck which is just stunning!
To make this more complex, Ata coordinated an electrician to put a power outlet on the deck, wire 27 LED lights, and change 2 external outlets to the latest GFI-type. He also coordinated a gas fitter to install a gas line for a natural gas fire table and get this hooked-up.
We went for frameless glass all around the deck. Ata again had a fantastic contractor for the glass paneling who did an outstanding job.
Despite numerous delays for bad weather and other delays outside Ata's control, he was determined to finish the deck to the highest possible standard. He also gave warranty with his work and will come back to rectify any issues. What more could you ask for!

We completed 2 bathroom renovations with Ata and his team at Blue Pine Construction. The team was great to deal with and the quality of their work was top notch. We now have a showcase bathroom that we enjoy everyday. They were extremely accommodating on changes and were amazing at providing suggestions on layout and bathroom styles. I hired Ata to renovate a distressed two-bedroom apartment after it was left in complete disrepair. He worked steadily to demolish what remained of the apartment unit, patch drywall, frame a new wall, board and tape, paint the years of smoke stain on the walls using an oil-based stain killing primer that he recommended, supply and install all the flooring, replace all of the windows and entry door, coordinate the kitchen and vanity cabinetry and countertop installation, install the interior doors, trims and hardware, install the appliances including a custom boot for the microwave hood-fan that was quite tight, tile the shower and backsplash, install the bathroom accessories, install the finish plumbing trims and connect the kitchen and bathroom sinks. The entire time Ata was accountable, responsive, helpful, made smart suggestions, was easy to work with, diligent, hardworking, I don't even know what else. All to say it was unbelievable. The apartment turned out better than I expected and I was able to rent out the unit for more than I expected. I will be hiring Ata again for future projects. Thank you so much.

We had pair of old large sheds that had been used to house pigeons. They were both poorly constructed on a poorly accessible site on a hill in our backyard. They lacked any retaining wall above them and they were sitting on poorly installed footings.
Ata and his crew did an excellent job deconstructing the sheds so there was no collateral damage to the fence next to them. It was hard slogging carting the debris to the trailer and then taking them to the dump for disposal. Ata and his crew worked very hard and they completed the job very quickly. They did an exceptional job cleaning up the site after the sheds were demolished and removed.

I’ve always been anxious starting construction projects because of the uncertainties around time and cost. However, Blue Pine Contracting team was very efficient with their time and materials. They started working on the bathroom reno on the scheduled date, AND they completed the project on time. The detail work was done meticulously, and there was very little clean up work after they were done. The final result leaves people in awe!
