We asked Dynasty to help us to tear up and replace a section of basement floor (under bathroom/furnace/laundry rooms), both to improve the floor and to investigate a pest problem from previous owners' neglect. This kind of problem required out-of-the-box thinking, improvisation and a lot of thorough examination. Luke in particular provided as much rigour and brainstorming as any contractor I've ever worked with in the Toronto area. He and his team were completely thorough in every facet of the job, and made sure that everything they did went above and beyond the codes and local standards. This included four inches of gravel and another four of concrete, removal of old storm drains and replacement of the sewer line. A lot of care was taken in load-bearing sections and with foundation footings. They also pointed out (without trying to upsell) that we may as well consider adding a backflow valve and indoor waterproofing, given the area that we had exposed. This led to a job that began with fixing a problem, but also resulted in two future-looking and major home improvements. The area is so much drier and nicer now - it looks, smells and feels better overall. I feel that these guys should never be without work in the GTA - absolutely recommended.
