Vito, for me, is the ultimate professional.
The job was to frame up the whole basement. Drywall and insulation. Installation of doors and other little things (too many to mention). (Honestly, I think he did a bunch of little things to make my life easy at no extra charge.)
He was always on time, actually he was always at my home 15-20 minutes beforehand sitting in his truck. Promptness is very important as it tells me he is not wasting my time and that reduces stress. Always entered my home with a smile and a greeting.
We were starting on a fresh basement and many little things had to be addressed. Vito always had 2 or 3 options for me to ponder. He would tell me which options would be easiest to accomplish but not necessarily the best way to go. Extra costs were also discussed. In the end I saw the wisdom he must have accumulated over the years.
Vito knows his stuff...
First, I'd like to address his calm demeanor and professional attitude at every turn. I can't express enough how that impacts a homeowner that worries about every little detail.
Vito suggested I stud the place with steel instead of wood. My basement has sump pump that goes off quite often (4X every hour) so it must be very wet and that may cause the wood studs to rot, not good. I was worried the metal studs would be weak for drywall and hanging stuff (cabinets etc,) Ofcourse, Vito reinforced any problem areas and all is good.
Vito was very precise in his measurements and stud placement, my electrician made compliments on the work.
Essentially, my basement now looks' better than my first floor, so much so, that I've offered to switch living quarters with my daughter and bf. No dice, they wouldn't go for it.
I am extremely satisfied with Vito's work and am currently recommending him to several friends that will need his services in the future.
Thank you again Vito for a super job!!
