In the middle of the pandemic, my husband and I decided to finish our basement. We were looking for additional space, storage, an office area and kids play area. We received a few quotes from different companies and decided to go with Sam from Rosewood Designs. I had a vision that I thought would make sense but after consulting with Sam, he was able to give me advice on how to best maximize my space. After a few tweaks, we came up with a design that I was comfortable with and renovations began.
Despite the fact that there was a shortage of supplies during this time, Sam was able to walk me through ahead of time the next steps and I would choose my finishes in advanced to ensure a smooth timeline of build. He went the extra mile when I didn't love the finishes and helped source exactly what I wanted. He always gave me options, pricing differences and professional advice on things to consider before making my choice. I loved the transparency and team effort in making my vision come to fruition.
We now have a very functional space with lots of storage, an office area, small gym area for a treadmill, bike and some equipment, full washroom, living room and a play area. I didn't think we would comfortably fit so much in a space that was not so big but we did! I'm so glad we went with a professional company because it made the difference! I can't wait to work with Sam and his team at Rosewood Designs on my next house project - highly recommend!
