037 Maintenance

Daniel was very pleasant and easy to deal with!

I had a bathroom with a leaky toilet and leaky shower that had to be fixed fast because it was the only bathroom in the house. I should have hired Daniel first, but instead, I hired one guy who assured me he knew how to renovate a bathroom and install a shower kit. But he didn't have his own car (it turns out), didn't come in one day because his girlfriend's car had an issue and he insisted on staying home to fix it (his girlfriend was the one driving him around, so I guess there's that), and when it came time to installing the shower kit, he said that there was a defect with the product and it just couldn't get done. So he bailed on us. I hired another guy who also did not have a car, but at least he had a co-worker with him. But his co-worker was unskilled, and they ended up breaking a huge glass panel from my shower kit. This guy promised to come back and install the kit once I received the replacement but when the replacement came, the guy backed out and said I should go find someone else. So I called Daniel, who I had contacted before but didn't hire because I went with cheaper guys. Oi! I should have hired him first!

Daniel had his own truck (!), he had a co-worker with him who was capable (!!), and Daniel was so calm and professional. I didn't have to worry at all and the shower kit was installed with no issues! He also did grouting that the other guys didn't get around to finishing. He cost a little more than the other guys, but he was worth it in the end! I think I would have actually saved money and time with Daniel because I ended up reimbursing my tenant for needing to spend a night at an AirBnB because they needed somewhere to stay with a washroom.

I have another repair job now and you can bet I've called Daniel for this new job!
