Overall, I was pleased with the work from Stephen and his crew. The work included knocking down the top ~10 rows of my chimney, and rebuilding it with replacement bricks as well as repairs to the flu liners and a new cap on top. Communication with Stephen was good for scheduling and planning, and he was informative in our discussions. The crew was prompt, the work was done quickly and clean-up was good as well. However, about a week after the project was completed, I inspected the work and already saw some cracks in the concrete cap they built. I informed Stephen and he came back to do repairs without hesitation, so that was good service. But by putting another layer of concrete over the top, I do still have some concerns on quality over the long term. I waited about 6 months before posting this review since I wanted to ensure the repairs are holding up, and it's looking good so far. I'll inspect it again in the spring... we'll see if it still holds up through a season of fireplace use and the associated heat/cold cycles. I'll post an updated review if I see any issues.

Thank you for your review. From time to time we do have issues with the concrete capping and this is associated with very warm temperatures that tend to dry materials quicker than they have the opportunity to cure. I know that Dan was on it immediately to take remedial action which I am certain will suffice. Please be assured that we stand by our work and any issues will always be taken care as soon as possible.
