Concerns Regarding Unfulfilled Railing Installation and Unresponsive Contractor

Intended to have the railing installation completed, I provided an initial deposit of $1300 to the contractor. However, for nearly two months, attempts to contact him through phone calls, emails, and messages have gone unanswered. Regrettably, neither the agreed-upon work has been executed nor has the deposited money been refunded. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I am uncertain about the steps to reclaim my funds from this unsatisfactory service and company.
