MDI provided a quote for landscaping work at our home on May 13th. They were to start mid June per our contract. For almost two months, MDI missed multiple “guaranteed" start dates, and refused to reply to our requests for start date information and in person meetings.
On July 30th I let them know the contract is cancelled and requested our deposit back, they refused. In fact, Dan screamed over the phone that he’s a big deal, he’ll see us in court, and he’ll “get” us.
Consumer Protection Agency was contacted, and I sent MDI a Consumer Complaint notice. This is finally the point MDI replied, asked for a meeting to discuss and try to resolve without having to go this route. We did meet, MDI signed off on our terms: no missed days, complete and full communication, and job finished by Tuesday August 13th.
In the week we all agreed to getting this job done, Dan was at our house just shy of 6 hours total. Most days were, again, no-show. Even the one employee he had only lasted a day because he too was left at our site and his phone calls to Dan ignored.
It makes me sick how poorly we have been treated. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy and have never experienced such unprofessionalism.
