Ascension Construction

So happy with how my main floor and kitchen renovation turned out. It was a long 2 months, but it was totally worth it in the end. And Ascension Construction team, especially Amir & Maria were absolutely amazing the whole way through.

We had got many 10-12 quotes from different general contractors, and ended up with Amir's team because of their professionalism, good reviews, detailed quotes, and friendly employees. They were not the cheapest, but also not the priciest. You definitely get what you pay for.

All the trades that came through, plumber, tiler, floor installer, electrician, etc, were very friendly and professional and made the work look easy.
They almost always cleaned up, took out the garbage, and let us know timelines as what trade was coming when. They were very careful putting down floor protection, making sure nothing got damaged when moving heavy appliances and equipment around.

I would highly recommend Ascension Construction for their services, and I'm very happy with how everything turned out.

Definitely Amir has communication issue due to language barrier , he brought his wife as interpreter and my GF meet them at the property to explain what needs to be done and get a quote , she indicated specifically that she is gonna buy IKEA cabinet and asked Amir to install it beside some other little stuff such as bedroom door installation , basement kitchen floor painting ,some left over furniture removal from the house ,Amir and his wife quoted the Job slightly ( ~500$) cheaper than other contractor and took the job
He start the job on time , did all the little stuff till we got cabinet delivered from IKEA to the house , as soon as he saw the boxes of IKEA asked us , is this the cabinet !!! He said he didnt know that The IKEA cabinet comes inside the boxes !!! ( what kind of contractor doesn’t know that the IKEA ‘s stuff always comes disassembled ) .
He insist that doesn’t want to instal the cabinet due to lack of knowledge how to assemble the boxes , i found a guy who was willing to assemble the boxes for extra 300$ ,he didnt want to pay and i said ok i will pay that 300$ just to make it work !! Then he said he has someone else to instal the cabinet and he is comfortable dealing with him , i gave a go ahead because i just want to finish the job and send him out of my sight , long story short , their installation cost me 600$ extra ( initial quote was 5000$) , total paid 5600$
They installed the kitchen so bad that doors are not lined up and gaps are different , left the water leaking and destroyed the floor of sink cabinet , came back and patched it, bedroom door installed so bad that was not closing ,he fixed but not 100% , over all NEVER EVER RECOMMEND OR GIVE AMIR ANY CONTRACT

On Jan 1 /2021 at 2 pm he called me on the phone on fire that why i wrote my review !!!!!! Amir if you dont know how to do things , dont put ad in home star !!! If you do you should know that customer have the right to express their experience with your transaction !!
Past few days i am trying to contact HOME STARS office to see if people like me are allowed to express their experience with their contractor or not !!! but no answer from Home stars office and home star trying to reject my review !!!

We hired Amir for a major renovation of our townhouse (approx. 1300 sq. ft). From our recent past experience, we knew finding a good contractor at a reasonable cost is not an easy task, but we definitely made the right decision by choosing Amir and his team for our renovation project. The major components of the project were removing the existing carpet and installing laminate flooring on all three floors, installing carpet on the stairs, installing new floor and wall tiles in the three bathrooms, and complete bathroom renovation (installation of toilets, sinks, faucets, new lights, bathtub, standing shower enclosure, etc.). From the very beginning, Amir gave us a very accurate estimate of how long the project will take and he completed the job a few days ahead of schedule. Throughout the whole project, we observed that Amir paid close attention to details, and as a result, we are very happy with the quality of the finished work. Amir is a good problem solver. When there were any issues that needed to be solved, Amir and his team were good at figuring out the options and executing accordingly. Amir has a friendly personality and is very easy to work with. Unlike many other contractors, Amir was very focused on the project while it was in progress. As a result, we didn't have to deal with issues like contractors not showing up during the middle of the project. Amir also offered us a solid warranty plan. After the project was complete, we found a couple of minor issues. Amir responded very quickly and fixed the issues in less than 24 hours. Overall, we highly recommend Ascension Construction.

I recommend Amir and ascention construction company . We did few remodeling projects with them that involved moving walls, building home, office, remodeling, basement, changing floor plan, drywall, paint ans, plaster.. etc. In my experience Amir and his team finished all of it in a very professional manner. I really enjoyed his work ethics in term of starting on-time, communicating every step, letting us choose designs while informing us and helping us with picking the,right interior designs, and giving us reasonable prices. We are very happy and, definitely will hire them again.

A very professional, talented, skilled team, who not only delivers services in a timely manner, but always opened to conversation, flexible, has optimizing solutions, listens to client and makes whole process of transforming and renovating your place a pleasant and exciting experience. We did two different projects with Ascension construction and both of them were completed maneuvering around family, children, a dog and their schedules and needs. Ascension construction is a team with amazing patience, steel nerves and endless understanding. Planning several more projects with them and can give only my best recommendations. These are just part of what they've done in short time.

Amir and his crew did an amazing job renovating our 80's basement, kitchen and laundry room. I could count on him to respond to any questions and follow -up during the process by giving me options and asking exactly what I wanted. Amir also was a problem solver when it came to changing the plan, if first plan didn't work, finding right trades people, and get the best materials within our budget. The laundry room/furnace room looks great and it was a complicated part. The trades people were top notch and pleasant to deal with. The finished result looks very high-end and Amir stayed on budget. Definitely recommend them.

We Highly recommend Ascension Constructions if you are doing a major remodel and want someone to manage it and guide you to completion.
After many years of wanting to renovate & remove the wall dividing our kitchen & living room and dreaming of our 'open concept' kitchen, we finally took our 1st step. I called & made an appointment & met with Amir and Maria back in Aug 2020. He was very friendly, professional & had suggestions. My wife & I also had our ideas and Amir gave his opinions, good, bad or indifferent. He wanted us to have constant communication. All of his workers were very nice & professional. Looking back at the last two months (and we were all home the entire time), my wife & I are happy and completely satisfied with the process & Amir's work. We really LOVED our new kitchen and we can't express how helpful and patient Amir was throughout the process. We enjoyed working with Amir and ascension construction they had excellent customer service, quality work, reliable, professional and took accountability.

The jobs were included changing bathroom basin, cabinet, repair hardwood floor and baseboard. What they did is excellent, and very clean site after the job finished. Thank for your excellent jobs!

I highly recommend this company. I am really grateful for the excellent workmanship Amir Construction and his team did for us. Wonderful management of the project and helping with details with our staircase and more. They were extremely polite and professional.
